Spartacus: Blood and Sand is a Starz original television series that premiered January, 2010. The series focuses on the historical figure of Spartacus, a 1st century B.C. Roman gladiator, who later became the leader of a major slave uprising against the Roman Republic.

Has 4 aired episodes already. I haven't watched them fully, but the show has graphic violence & lots of nudity (my kind of show )

cinematic effects, use of slow motion, reminds me of 300

The violence and gore are done anime style with blood showering after a cut or severed body part/s, like Kill Bill. I'm liking the series so far.

They are heavily influenced by 300, even the showrunners admit that if it wasn't for Snyder's movie they wouldn't think this style would be plausible.
