Do you get your movies and subtitles separately?

Hope this helps ....

Most probably hindi pareho ang framerate nang Video Stream & nung Subs file. To check, you can use MEDIA INFO then use SUBTITLE WORKSHOP to change the subs framerate (if needed).

Also, you might be synching video stream with a "different' subs file e.g. Theatrical Cut versus Directors Cut.

Now if above has been done & its still out-of-synch ..... I would say that issue is not with your NMT units. I am using A110 (have also used HDX before) and have never encountered issues with subs before.

I have encountered something similar before - but it was video stream related ..... more specifically, the HDTV ripped movies are the hardest to synch with.

By the way, what specific movie do you have problem with? I probably might help you more on this.

I get my subtitles from subscene.  I find that they have a pretty comprehensive collection.

Meron kasing rating system tsaka updated yung site.  After I download and fix the filename, I usually randomly go to different timestamps on the movie just to check the if the subtitles are synched.

I used to edit my own subtitles but I found it too time-consuming for the most part.

And they were the one's that's causing you trouble? As mentioned by Verbl Kint, you try the subscene releases or try opensubtitles and look for the same filename that your movie have (eg. movie - AxxO). As most of the movies are ripped by different persons (same movie can be available in one part and some in two parts).

Hope that helps.

I noticed this too.. I am using Xtreamer, the good thing is its remote have dedicated buttons to compensate the delay. So while playing you can adjust the syncing of subtitle.

Assuming you have MKV files .... the one who 'made' the HD movie simply did not place a subtitle file inside the container.

You can easily do this by getting the subtitles through the web (subtitleseeker.com & many other sites). Some other tools would be needed e.g. mkvmerge, subtitleworkshop, mediainfo, etc.

Madali lang ito pre ......

1.) Use mediainfo to know the framerate of your movie (e.g. 23.976 fps).
2.) Download the subtitle with the same framerate.
2.1) To check if synched, just rename the subs to the same filename of the movie then play in VLC
2.2) If unsynched, you can use subtitle workshop to delay/advance the subs so they can synch
3.) Merge with mkvmerge.

Note. If unable to find subtitles with the same movie framerate, just download what is available (e.g. 25fps). You can also use subtitle workshop to convert the framerate of the subs.

PM lang if you need some more help.

yes ..... much more convenient itong mkvmerge pre ...... you can put multiple streams e.g. video, audio, subtitles inside a single matroska container/file.

just be a bit careful e.g. for multiple audio streams, be careful to select which is primary (default).

It looks like http://www.subtitleseeker.com has been "suspended" for many weeks now.

^ Pre, here's the link: http://www.bunkus.org/videotools/mkvtoolnix/downloads.html

Just select the MKVTOOLNIX installer corresponding to your PC OS e.x. Windows

Note that MKVTOOLNIX is the "general name" of the matroska software set ...... MKVMERGE, MKVEXTRACT, etc are parts of this set ....... much like WORD, EXCEL & POWERPOINT are parts of MS-OFFICE.

Tip: I've used mkvmerge version 2.2.0 for a long, long time ...... it's very easy to use & can handle most codecs. This is a good version to start your MKV activities with.

You can download it via the above link (see non-Unicode version 2.2.0).

Good luck.

^ As long as the SRT framerate's are the same with your movie ..... both BD & HD-DVD subs should work (most of the time, even DVD SRT works).

In the event that is doesnt synch, you can easily advance or delay the subtiles using Subtitle Workshop.

I would also like to recommend a program that can help adjust your subtitles with a few clicks. You can either add seconds, minutes, or milliseconds to your subtitle's timing. Or vice versa, you can reduce the timing instead. Search at Google ... "SubtitlesSynch"
