Did a War Movie marathon over the weekend:
Friday night to Saturday night:
Apocalypse Now - Good acting on the part of Martin Sheen and Marlon Brando. For a 1979 film, this was really good (props used were Era correct for the Vietnam war)
Platoon - Really liked Wilhem Dafoe and Tom Berenguer, found Charlie Sheen's acting still a bit shallow here. A lot of equipment here were not era correct namely the guns used by Tom and some other actors
American Soldiers (A Day In Iraq) - for a bunch of unknowns, overall good movie
Blackhawk Down - Watched this a million times (need I say more)
The Hurt Locker - 2nd time to watch it and, IMHO, it wasn't what it was hyped up to be
This is War - Good movie since it focuses on the human aspect of the war
Saturday night to Sunday night:
Generation Kill - Loved this HBO Miniseries. Really good POV of the Iraq war and how some officers are real jerks
Barbie-A Fairy Tale - My daughter asked if she could watch in between the Generation Kill episodes hehehe
