Harry,

I don't know kung mas-latest iyong 9050D-SI sa 9060D. but definitely 9060D is a higher model.

tsonggo,

Sa pag--iikot ko sa 5th Ave., la pa  sila 9070D (VR-7070). (This is the successor of 9060D - together with 9080D)

Since this is a kenwood brand, basically it should be from 5th Avenue Electronics.

Watch out instead of

VR - 7070A &
VR - 7080A.

I just don't know kung ano ang asian model nito.

DuffyDoc.

Guys,

ok itong site na ito a. meron din pala mga owners dito ng kenwood. ako meron din 9060D. isa lang masasabi ko sa AVR na ito maganda sya sa HT and Music stereo mode and CSII.

Pre,

Too bad mallit ang temporary sala namin.

Not compliant to Audiophile Class Standard. ;D

Baka pag nag-session eh kandong-kandong na lang.

May papaalisin pa kami na tenant bago tuluyang lumuwag ang sala.

I'll inform you 'pag pwede na.

Is the KRF-9060D 7.1 or 6.1, I'm quite confused about this one...    And where is the cheapest one can be found?
Anyone know about those Kenwood floorstanders also?

Is the 9060D's the equivalent of Sound and Vision Magazine's Reviewer's Choice for best Receiver in 2003?

Bravoexo,

Since I own this receiver I can answer your question.

KRF - X9060D is a 6.1 receiver, that is, it supports DTS-ES  and DD-EX. You can connect 6 speakers from it (Front-2, Center-1, Surround-2, and Surround Back-1). It has a 7.1 pre-out. So if you want to have a 7.1 setup you need to use an external stereo amp to power the 6th and 7th channel.

On its own it's 6.1.
7.1 if you use an external stereo amp.

If you are referring to VR-6070 as S&V's 2003 Best Receiver, then the equivalnet asian model is KRF-X9060D.

About those Floorstander, I have heard the slim one connected to a Kenwood receiver and from what I can say ok siya sa dance music. Lambot ng bass. You don't need sub with them. Haven't heard them sa movies and other types of music.

Hope this helps.

Are you from pinoypsx and pinoyxbox also?

The one and only.   ;D

I'm still looking for something to replace my 2 x 5.1 setups right now. (a Cambridge DTT2500 and a HTiB from Philips) and can't decide where to spend my money on yet.  I was intrigued that S&V chose a Kenwood A/V Receiver so I decided to look around.  VR-7080D's ata yung Reviewer's choice not 6070's....  may equivalent ba noon dito?

If that is the VR - 7080 then wala pa niyan dito.

the equivalent will be KRF - X9070D or X9080D.

Features and appearance are the same with VR - 6070. The only difference is the on the remote. The remote is so smart daw according to my reading from the net. I am also wondering why it has not arrived yet here in the philippines.

Bravoexo,

Care to read S&V's review of Kenwood VR-7080??

Click the link below.

This receiver is indeed S&V's Reviewer's Choice Awards for 2003.

I think old model na ito. I may be wrong. Since it already has
DPLIIx. Because the newer models have this code:

VR - 60xx
VR - 70xx
VR - 80xx

and the newest Kenwood Digital Amp - VRS 7100. It is a Gaming Audio/Video Receiver.

nels76,

thanks a lot.  actually what i read in the internet was that the "S" on VR-806S signify silver color coz they also have a black color of the same model VR-806Black.

based on the review link that you provided maganda naman ang feedback.  i may buy it na pero siguro mga bandang november na lang baka makakita pa ko ng mas mura at ok naman ang features.  but im leaning towards it na.  my bayaw who is based in Los Angeles will send packages for his family this december so papasabay ko lang don yung kenwood receiver.  I will buy it sa online internet sites..then pa deliver ko sa address ng bayaw ko don sa LA.

By the way, Ok kaya ang Euros 6SV or Euros 8 Speakers Set from Daiichi sa receiver na ito?

kasi ang iniwang setup ng bayaw ko is Pioneer Receiver (5.1) tapos ang speakers nya is Daiichi EFD Series.  Ok naman ang tunog.

Planning to order VR-8070 from B&H. We don't pay taxes here coz APO yung address namin. My question is, it doesn't have any microphone input. I'm planning to add a mini theater sa house (new room) but want it also to serve as a sing-along system. Can I add a microphone receiver dito that can play together with another audio input like DVD? Sort of mixed input from 2 audio sources. I already downloaded the manual for the 8070 but can't find anything.  ???

Jetstar,

madalang ang AV Receiver na may Mic input. actually ala pa nga ako nakikita (except iyong mga generic brands). Bumili ka na lang ng DVD Player na may mic input like
some Pioneer and LG models and generic brands.

I suggest kumuha ka na lang dedicated amp and speaker for videoke purposes.

I think it would be much cheaper to get another dvd player with videoke function than getting another amplifier and speakers just for that purpose. Thanks.

sir kumusta naman po yun avr nyo? and pairing it with daiichi euros... any reviews.

my Kenwood AVR 806-S (6.1) arrived last december pa first week.  then i just recently puchased daiichi speakers.  this is how i set it up:

     DTX 4.12       euros8 flrstander              pl100 center                euros8 flrstander

                      euros8 surround        listening/viewing position     euros8 surround

pl100 surr back     pl100 surr back

instead of getting a center spk for my surround back, i bought a pair of pl100 surround and parallel-connect it to my surround back in my AVR creating a 7.1 setup.

oks naman ang sound sa HT and audio.  although nasa breakin period palang ang mga speakers ko, i can say na im very satisfied with my combination.  siguro mga 3 or 4 months i'll try to switch the euros8 and pl100 surround sa surround and surround back.  tingnan ko ano mas maganda.

regards,
dvh
