Forgot to add that the best shape for the felt surround is square and the inner border of the felt pad should be at least 1/2 to 1 inch away from the center of the tweeter cone. Happy tweaking!:-)

You're all welcome to have a listen at my humble abode anytime(after holy week)! I forgot to attach the tweeter protector after placing the felt pads around the tweets. Just placed small nicks on the felt pad to accomodate the tweeter protector and it came out like this. . .



I'm having fun tweaking my Rega  turntable lately and the latest tweaks I ordered from Michael Lim of Malaysia are these. . .

Items are in transit and I'm expecting it to arrive in two weeks.

Father jim, ikaw talaga hari ng ingenuity. Husay!  ;)

I was able to get the top and bottom bracing and aluminum feet for my Rega P3-24 from Michael Lim of LP-Turntables in Malaysia kanina. . .

*Removed the spindle assembly and tonearm*



*Inuna ko yung bottom brace install sa top brace*




*Installed the top brace(made up of metal alloy(magnesium and aluminum)*



*Reinstalled the tonearm*




*Finished!!! ;)*


I was able to retain Roy Gandy's concept of a light plinth(since both braces were lightweight. The plinth is very rigid right now due to the braces and is kinda impervious to vibrations. My next and last upgrade will be the motor isolation support wherein the motor will be completely detached from the plinth. . .

Sir Obet, panalo talaga wooden cones mo. Bagay na bagay sa aluminum footers na inorder ko. Close-up to kase di ganu kita yung wooden cones sa ibang pics ;)

Doc, nakita mo na yun acoustic foam ni Trod? Bagay jan sa walls mo beside the speakers. Pwedeng wall mount and wouldn't take up much space. Mga 2" lang.

Nelson, kay Tony galing mga acoustic panels lo dati. Binenta ko kase masikip na sa room. Hayaan mo, pag napatayuan mg bahay ung lote namen sa Verdana Mamplasan, nangako si kumander na may sarili akong dedicated na music room:-)

Di ko po dadalhin yung Rel sa EB. Tama na souped up na Rega at I Ab naten against the mighty Lenco!;-)

Thanks brader Mon and Fr. Jim. Sarap lang itweak ng Rega kase you can improve it's sa performance kung san siya mahina. Was planning on a heavy and thick plinth para sa Rega kaso hindi na siya magmumukhang Rega. So top and bottom bracing did strengthen the plinth and at the same time maintained the "lightweight"look of Rega tt's. Pero saludo ako sa Rega pagdating sa PRAT. Just like the Technics SL-1200 na tweakable din and one tweak is palitan mo lang ng Rega RB-250/300 tonearm eh mas gaganda pa tunog. . .DIY and tweaking makes audio fun and wholesome:)

Bought an acrylic plate kanina, pinatabas ko then had the edges polished, placed it in my rega wall rack(removed the granite plinth), placed some blue led lights behind it, played some Marvin Gaye songs. . .let's get it on. . . O0
