Sure, why not.  Gandang TV ng VT60.  Easy to sell if it's going to be a 50 incher.  But 65 inch and up, it might be harder to sell.

unless idonate ni waxx sa less fortunate members (like me ;D) :)

Tsip ang lalayo ng price range yata, so cost performance differences would be huge.

65VT60 can be had for around $3K, 75F8000 is about $7K while a 65-inch UHD is now at $5.5K

im now torn between 65 inch VT60, 75inch LEDf8000, and a 4ktv..

tama sir.. the vt60 is around 2.7-3k landed price.. yan ang pinaka masarap sa bulsa..

the 4ktv is about 4.5k$, priced nearly with the 75inch here, which is around 210kpesos.(yes its cheaper here!!)

tyvm sir.. got your pm.. actually sa kanya rin siguro ako kukuha ng 75 if ever.. ill just have to review it first!

very best experience with sir dom...

Parang mas OK ata mag import from HK or SG ng VT60. 220Vac na mas malapit ang presumably mas mura ang shipment?

Ganda pala talaga ng F8500. I saw it beside its lower rank sibling, the F5500 and the difference in black levels and brightness is very obvious. Really worthy of its top of the line position.

What size was the VT60 sir?

atty. 65 inch. nasa 230k but negotiable pa daw..

katabi nya kasi was an 80inch behemoth.. di ko alam anong brand.. but its 4k ata

they were displaying the same source 1080p.

the images were the same if not better pa nga yung panny...

but im thinking the 80inch has local dimming na... parang ang hirap i edge light ang 80inch.

i could be wrong.. anyhoo did not take notice much of the 80inch 4k kasi.. wala talagang plan bilhin..

the panny looks good.. if i didnt come from 65inch LED i will get the panny..

pero sa presyo ng vt60, i will rather a 75inch LED.

bigger is better ika nga.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Sabi ko na nga ba e ...  ;D

Best selling plasma size is 50 inch. Best selling 2013 Panny Plasma is 50ST60.  Available here, gray 65VT60.  No wonder Panny plasma sales are so low.

Ang mahal pa.  US list price of 65VT60 is only P142,384.03 ($3,299.99).  Ang layo naman ng P230K, gray pa.

In comparison, US list price of Samsung 51F5300 is P51,776.441 ($1,199.99).  Here, you can get a white unit for only P30K+.  Panalo talaga, di hamak na mas mura sa US list price.

bigger is better ika nga.

Magastos na philosophy yan sir. ;)

Walang katapusan yan.

but i think plasma is not for me.

OK lang yan sir.  Both plasma and LED have their own set of problems.  It's just a matter of preference either way.

pero thats far far far far pa.. like million pesoses far..

the reason why im letting go of the LED im using is coz of the bad backlight bleeding and vertical banding.. how i wish i didnt read about all of those in AVSforum.. also i started to notice those flaws after using psvita and the samsung galaxy phones with oled screens.. now i quickly get irritated and i always see the flaws on my tv.

as for the pic quality... i didnt spend a lot of time scrutinizing the plasma, all that i noticed was it had more shades of black compared to the LCD beside it.. colors were less vibrant.. coz i adjusted it to movie mode, unlike the LED beside it which was on dynamic mode.

i already exhausted the calibration of my LED... im not happy thats why im letting it go.. if the 75inch led is double the price (400k). i would have gotten the vt60.  but economically speaking.. if you had 200k and you have a choice between a 65inch plasma (a dying technology-coz the LED is quickly catching up) and a 75inch above average LED flagship model.. which would you choose?

If you're particular about picture quality, it has to be a plasma.  In a dark room, malayo pa rin ang LED kahit flagship pa yan.

If it's a plasma, get a Sammy 64F8500.  2013's best TV na, mura pa at around P201,800:

http://www.ayosdito.ph/Samsung+Plasma+TV+64inch+PS+64F8500+Smart+3D+TV-6255070.htm

Saw one in FS, grabe. Nahiya ako sa 50" LG plasma ko which I already calibrated with Disney WOW.

Just dropped by Best Buy today and asked the manager on the best deal he can give me in the 65VT60,
price is at $2999, on sale now for $2699, but he'll slash off another $200
And if I get the extended warranty, it'll be around $2500,...
And he doubled check may 72 units pa, seems may aabutan pa ako till next year just in case,...

I saw Amazon dropped their prices to 2,399 until Friday last week.  So when I visited Best Buy yesterday and the Magnolia guy told me that their price was 2,499, I asked for price match - he immediately checked Amazon but Amazon was back to 2,700 - hehehe.

Conversely, Amazon will price match but I prefer BB because I can possibly reimburse some of the tax.

Kaso taas baba talaga price so dapat bantay Jawo sa trends. 4 weeks back it was as low as 2,299.

How true?  Still no official confirmation from Panny. But this time, it looks like Panny's plasma exit will push through.

Just as I thought, this time it's real.  On October 8, 2013, no confirmation from Panny.  On October 31, 2013, Panny officially confirms:

TV shoppers: Now is the time to buy a Panasonic plasma
by David Katzmaier
October 31, 2013

The end of an era is official. On March 31, 2014, Panasonic "will end sales of plasma TVs for consumer use and PDP-related products for commercial use," in the company's own words. ...

... Now the most common question I get from readers is, "Should I buy a Panasonic plasma now?" My answer in general is almost always "yes," and now that I know they're going to be extinct soon, it's "YES!"

... Will Samsung continue making plasmas next year? What about LG? I don't know, but my guess is now that Panasonic has pulled out, those two already LCD-centric companies will also abandon the technology soon.
