It's holiday tomorrow!

Hi Nelson, what can I say but oops, I forgot, looks like my architect & VECO have forgotten as well. Thanks for the reminder, at least I'll be able to work in peace  :)

Progress interrupted today by a visit from VECO contractors accusing us of illegal power tapping, coming back tomorrow to cut the connection. We have an arrangement with our neighbours across the road & are tapped from the load side of their meter. We decided to reposition our feed cable to make it more obvious so while that was going on no lights in the HT room   >:(. Managed to connect the front high speakers & put the main amp & AV receiver in the rack. I'm busy paying bills & getting my visa application submitted so not a lot will be done tomorrow, I will update if I manage to do anything.

No internet for 4 days Globe re - instated today   >:(
VECO's threat a storm in a teacup, their contractor turned up on Monday (holiday ?) to assess my power requirements, he will decide if I need my own transformer  :-\

Wow I admire the cable management being done.

How's the TX-NR5007? Did it power up? :)

Yesterday's efforts, BD player & Screen installed. Something went wrong with the dimension below the screen, should have been 1" & it's ended up 5". I'm going to get a couple of plates made to allow the screen to drop 4"
Apologies for the quality of the photo, I still haven't got a tripod for the camera.

Edit - brain half asleep this morning, I forgot about the sub woofer lurking behind & to the right of the front right speaker    ;D

Screen height looks ok to me sir OBR and you have more equipment space on the top shelf if ever :)
i dont know how big your center speakers are but again if ever you get a bigger one it would fit.

Hi Photonyo, the height was worked out so viewers in the front row didn't look up too much. The center speaker is sat under the screen & at the moment there is 5" clearance. I must admit my 1st thoughts were "at least I can have a bigger center speaker"  >:D. I don't really want to be putting more gears on the top shelf but with our hobby you never know.

Hi ghost your welcome but I don't know how much viewing will be done. It's mainly making sure everything works before the acoustic panels are fitted. Found a problem today, the screens power lead (it's a special) wasn't in the box so I have 3 non compatible leads (plugs for the outlet the wrong pin configuration) so I shall be modifying one first thing in the morning.

I agree with you on the screen height. I've had neck pain with a monitor that was set too high. A few degrees from ear level is ergonomic. Glad you have a workaround.

i think based on your gears set-up in front, this should be best height setting.

I will have the mounting plates remade but it's going to be a pain lifting that beast down & repacking it while I do the mods. It's obviously a miscalculation on my part so down to me  >:(
