It was well built and the fit and finish exudes high end. It has ribbon tweeters whose sound I am very familiar with, very good on piano and other string instruments. Like my previous Accentus A101, I did not find the vocals up to par with the Vr 5 Anni. (this is one area where Vr5 compete successfully with other speakers- scale, palpability and finnese) so my standard is quite high.. and I am not saying the Cello is bad, most people will find Cello very good..

to my knowledge, some Lawrence Audio models use drivers made by Aurum Cantus and Mundorf caps (like AC), so there will be some similarity in sonic signature.

I heard on a day I was targeting top level speakers, so hard to stand out.

will you be able to home audition?

the Lawrence stuff are not cheap, if they share parts with Aurum Cantus - I will definitely give AC stuff a serious listen. A local audiophile has the AC Genesis which retails for US $ 26k, I know this guy can spend a lot more than that on speakers but is happily living with it.

Yes Ding those Lawrence creations (from Taiwan) are not cheap and have a lot of stiff competition in its price range from North American and European manufacturers.

If sound is similar to AC, then I might have to pass. Nothing negative or anything but only because I like to try a product I haven't owned before
