reposting my reply from your other thread:

I think the Polk RTi series is better for home theater use. if you'll be using your setup 100% for music use, I'd suggest getting LSiM703 bookshelf speakers instead.  :)

Kung limited sa Polk ang choices, I have to agree with you. ;D

sir most likely you've heard this setup already given that its coming from LIS...a lot may not favor the A9 for pure audio listening but it subjective eh. bka maganda sya nung 8005 na yung amp? given that setup, you'll be spending at least 150k more or less.....there are lots of setup for 150k na mas maganda jan.(sa akin lang po :))

ex:
yung liuto w/stand ni superman 90k (kung gusto mo full range...AN)
line magnetic int amp 50k
rega rp3 30k
cd5004 15k

The best ang slim FS for smallish to mid-size rooms.

PSB Imagine T2 + NAD 375bee.

PANGET tunog ng Polk.

Depende sa listener and depende sa bookshelf..

sa akin kahit floorstander pag walang subwoofer = FAIL :)

For 2 channel listening, sa akin ok lang na walang subwoofer basta mag-start mag-roll off ang lows sa 20hz pababa.  ;)

If from the same maker & model line, i will take floorstanders over bs anytime
footprint in most cases would be the same since bookshelfs would require stands. yung ipambibili mo ng good quality stands idagdag mo na lang sa budget mo & get the fs  ;)

For pure music listening, would suggest to get floor standing multi drivers of at least 3 way configuration.
Anthem CD1
Anthem Pre1
Audio Linear TT
Ortofon Rondo Red
Theta Dac
GTA SE-40 Amp
JBL L7
AudioQuest

It would be better if you can indicate the price of each hardware so that we can offer alternatives.

To repeat my post on the initial thread, skip the Marantz CD5004 and upgrade to the UD7007.
I came from the same set-up and experienced first hand the advantages of the UD7007.

This is my first post. I would appreciate if you guys could give your opinions/recommendations regarding my future set up

This is my set up:
Denon turn tables DP300F
Marantz PM8005

Polk Audio RTi A9

If ever I need to have a sub for audio setup... It should be sealed type, as others recommended based on their experience...

Anthem Pre1
Audio Linear TT
Ortofon Rondo Red
Theta Dac
GTA SE-40 Amp
JBL L7

Fail pa rin yan... di kaya yung sonic canon sa The Hulk  :)

2 channel music listening nga daw kaya wala naman atang sonic canon and below 20hz.  ;D

Pero you still have a point, may mga certain music ata na may frequencies below 20hz.

For pure music listening, would suggest to get floor standing multi drivers of at least 3 way configuration.

Yan lang din ang problem ko, is to find a BS or FS that can give a smooth response (+/- 4db) till 20 hz.  ;D

And if it's "Somewhere out there", I'm sure hindi ko afford.
