i see, thanks sa reply sir Jerome...
tho sa 55" 4K LG TV ko before (2017 model) , when I play multi-audio movies (i.e. Atmos + Dolby Digital), 'matic si LG TV na i-decode niya yung 2nd audio stream available from the file: Dolby Digital. kaya pwede parin siya maglabas ng audio so I could still watch the movie from TV alone
but if the movie file ONLY contains the Atmos encode (or even with TrueHD), dun niya sasabihin na "audio undetected". movie will still play the video but without sound.
once, I played movie containing DTS:X only, na-play naman ang audio -- si DTS Inc. kasi is more flexible when it comes with its audio coding. meron siya ability to downmix DTS:X/DTS-HDMA. rather than Dolby Lab, hindi na yan entirely ma-decode if device is not capabale to decode TrueHD and Atmos
bakit kasi ina-alis na nila ngayon DTS licenses sa mga TVs? streaming sites like Netflix/Amazon Prime yata are all Dolby Lab audios nadin, right?
ibang usapan din naman with Android-based TV's like Sony/Sharp, we could install Android apps like Kodi/SPMC in which these apps can decode and downmix both DTS and Dolby (even with Atmos/DTS:X movie files, mag-play yung audio niyan) using the TV alone
