Anyone in the Philippines streaming Disney+ via VPN..?

My sister is never the techie type,
anyhow, my son's GF is in Italy, had her install my VPN on her laptop,
used the USA servers, and voila, she was able to use our Disney+ account, so it does work...

Disney’s recently launched streaming service, Disney+, could launch in the Philippines soon with a price tag of PHP 359 a month.

We were able to get a screencap of the streaming service’s launch page that detailed its pricing in the Philippines. Our source downloaded the app from the US App Store and was prompted with the service’s pricing upon opening the app. As Disney+ has yet to roll out in the country, there’s a possibility that the pricing could change.

We’ll be on the lookout for when Disney+ arrives in the Philippines. Stay tuned.

I am able to stream but needs a reliable VPN client.

Signing up is a challenge unless you have a US issued credit card to link to.

At least this is cheaper than Netflix which is at around Php450/mo.

Only thing is, will it carry Pinoy content (like Netflix)?

What will happen to the existing Globe postpaid subscribers who have availed of the DisneyLife app?
Does it carry the same line-up as Disney+?

There's a $12.99 bundle in the US which includes ESPN+ and Hulu. This is also a good deal considering it already includes 4K, HDR, and surround sound.

I hope we get bundles here too.

I hope if ever there will be a disney+ app here in the phil, the content will be the same as the us account, otherwise, this app might just look like disneylife app with just a 4k hdr features...

According to Filbar Online's FB account, DisneyLife will cease on April 1, 2020, apparently to make way for Disney+'s local launch

^ Unfortunately, the PH is not a priority market. My guess is the official launch here will be later in 2021. In Asia, it’s only available in India (late March), with a Japan roll-out targeted even later this year. Nothing definite for the other major Asian markets.

Globally, Disney plans a progressive rollout worldwide over two years. The company provided a generalized timeline for when it'll expand the service to the world's major regions.

Disney Plus is slated to roll out in:

* Eastern Europe over the course of a year starting as early as summer 2020.
* Latin America over the course of three months starting as early as October 2020.
* Asia-Pacific over the course of two years starting anytime; a Japanese launch will happen sometime later in 2020, the company said in April.

Percy Jackson Series in Development at Disney Plus

A Percy Jackson series is currently in the early stages of development at Disney Plus.

Rick Riordan, author of the Percy Jackson book series, made the announcement Thursday in a video on Twitter alongside his wife Becky.

Rick then followed up with a statement, which reads in part, “We can’t say much more at this stage but we are very excited about the idea of a live-action series of the highest quality, following the storyline of the original Percy Jackson five-book series, starting with The Lightning Thief in season one. Rest assured that Becky & I will be involved in person in every aspect of the show.”

Almost all have free trial. I’m using Surfshark. It’s the cheapest and yet I have no problems with it.
