Why would Chet have an advantage when he hasn't played a single game in the NBA?

Advantage din kay Chet sitting out for a year, he is already mentally ready for the NBA as he was traveling with the team last season. Exposed na sya with the NBA life. Like what happened to Blake Griffin and Ben Simmons before.

Yes napakalaking adjustment para sa newbie yung being away from your family. Teen ager yang mga yan.  For some, it affects their play.  Also Chet has been practicing with real deal NBA players ng OKC.   Wemby eh nakakaharap nya are players in his former league.  Summer League eh hindi naman mga batak na NBA players mga makakalaro nya dun.

Yes Chet was the missing piece sa OKC to at least enter the playoffs.

Yan ang ayoko sa mga sobrang payat na players.  Parang ang fragile ng mga buto hehehe.  Sana Wemby can avoid injuries and live up to his potential.  Tough luck lang talaga for Chet, Parang Julius Randle, Ben Simmons, Blake Griffin.....injury agad

They were extended qualifying offers making them restricted free agents. Free agency starts on June 30 so it remains to be seen what the results will be.

basta whole season di nakalaro, still considered as rookie.. kaya nung time na draft si John Wall iyak, hindi nakapag ROTY kasi sinapawan ng 2nd year na si Blake..

This is something that the NBA should revisit.  Technically a second year player has an advantage over the first year guy since acclimated na sa NBA life, travel, personal adjustments etc na yung player.  Same situation with Donovan Mitchell and Ben Simmons yan. 

If you get injured on your first season regardless if its in scrimmage, Summer League or just playing pickup basketball, then that's it for your rookie season. The fact of the matter is that you already signed a contract thereby making you an NBA player already.  Tough luck lang  talaga if you get injured.
