The Portland Trail Blazers are trading guard Jrue Holiday to the Boston Celtics, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski

The Celtics are trading Robert Williams III, Malcolm Brogdon, a protected 2024 first-round pick acquired from the Golden State Warriors and the team's own 2029 unprotected first-rounder to the Blazers, according to sources.

Tigas din ng mukha nito. He opted in on the final year of his 36M contract THEN requested for a trade,  He could have just opted out and become a free agent but he secured the money first before holding the Sixers hostage to his demands.

Jimmy Butler should be pissed off.  Imagine...Dame already singled out MIA as his prime destination and yet they couldn't get the deal done. Instead, he landed in MIL and in turn Jrue landed in BOS.  Both BOS and MIL are in the same conference with MIA.  Lumakas pa yung mga kalaban ng MIA after the trades while sila eh humina by losing key players to free agency (Max Struss and Gabe Vincent)

Oh...they also possess the hugely inflated contracts of the ff:

Kyle Lowry - 29M (last year of his contract)
Tyler Herro - 27M (still owed a total of 120M for 4 more years)
Duncan Robinson - 18M (still owed a total of 47M for 3 more years)

Hindi yata umubra si Pat Riley this year in getting what they need to bring home the trophy.
