Teri Hatcher is dating Ryan Seacrest?!?

Okay, I knew she was a Desperate Housewife, but I didn't know she was that Desperate:P

What is more surprising here is that Ryan is actually dating a woman!

how come this season's showdates are not consecutive?

It's always been like that for most shows in the States. They have only 22-24 episodes they have to fit from September-May, so the new episodes are concentrated during the Sweeps periods, which determine ad revenues - November, February and May. Notable exceptions are the reality shows, mid-season replacements, and 24.

Did you guys see Inside Edition today? Teri Hatcher said she only went out with Ryan three times - twice with a group and once solo, when they were photographed. After that date, Ryan called her and said, "I don't think I can do this with you."

Marcia Cross should be a shoo-in for acting nominations next awards season.

After this week's episode, I change that to: She must win.

She was really amazing in her final two scenes. Subtle yet intense, without overacting in what was a potentially melodramatic sequence.

I'm looking forward to next week's season finale.  :)

She has so many episodes to choose for Emmy consideration from this season but this week's episode definitely tops 'em all. Her struggle with alcoholism was one of the most believable TV storylines on the subject. Speaking of another housewife, Eva Longoria must at least get a nomination for losing a baby twice! She also had the funniest lines this season.

I don't know about that. Mary-Louise Parker is getting raves for her new show Weeds and it's Jane Kaczmarek's last chance to win an Emmy since Malcolm in the Middle is ending this year. She has a great episode where she takes revenge against a group of "mean girls" who played a cruel joke on Reese.

I saw the pilot of Weeds. I wasn't impressed with Parker's perf there. If they have to give an Emmy to that show for perf, it should be Liz Perkins. Kaczmarek should submit that episode then. She is known to having submitted weak episodes previously. Although only a few people watch both Weeds and Malcolm in the Middle, Weeds has a better chance of upsetting any of the Housewives because Showtime is the Miramax of the Emmys. Showtime scored 7 nomms for the little-seen Huff and even nabbing a win for Blythe Danner. I won't mind if a non-Housewife takes the trophy but if it'd happen, it'd be the second consecutive year that Cross would be robbed. Some critics opine that Huffman won last year because of the episode that was submitted by Cross. It'd be interesting to see which non-Housewife gets a nomination. Aside from Kaczmarek and Parker, I'd like to see Lisa Kudrow get one for The Comeback.

Felicity Huffman won the Emmy for two reasons:

1.) Among the three actresses for DH nommed, she's the most respected one having appearing in David Mamet plays and previously featured in a short-lived but critically acclaimed show, Sports Night.

2.) Among the Housewives, Huffman's character is the most sympathetic. She's not annoyingly ditzy like Susan, a control-freak like Bree, a slut like Edie or an adulterous gold-digger like Gabrielle. She's simply a mother who's trying her best to take care of her kids.

You're right but at that time, most people were expecting a Cross and Hatcher slugfest. I was actually happy for Huffman to win. Before getting the Emmy, she was underrated among the housewives. Ain't it cool that a fellow Sorkin alumna also won an Emmy for the same show? Mrs. Landingham from The West Wing!

Hoping to catch up with Sports Night before the new Sorkin airs. Cool cast. Chandler, Josh Lyman, Amanda Peet, among others.

Just finished watching the two-part finale. More satisfying than Grey's Anatomy. Was also a delight to see a Pinay, Joy Bisco from The Debut. Kyle McLachlan is a welcome addition to the cast. Who is best stirring things up in suburbia than an alum from Blue Velvet?

Saw the season premiere. A little better than Grey's Anatomy. I think Eva Longoria delivered the best. I'm not on board though with Lynette's storyline. They better write out the troublesome mom of Tom's love child soon before she wreaks havoc a la the Applewhite debacle.

Regretably I'm very late getting involved into this this series....after 2 years it started. All these years I thought it's just another soap opera or meant for house wives viewing (due to the name)... ;D

Finally I gave it a try...to my surprise just seeing the first few chapters it got me & wife completely hooked!  :o It's really good! Last night we just completed season 1 marathon & I'm happy to say I love it!!! Full of black humour & in some epidsodes I can't stop laughing.... :D

Got to look for the season 2 DVD set na....  :)

Better late than never, pchin!

I've got the last two episodes still waiting to be watched.  Can't watch it w/o my wife eh... that's the downside of having your wife hooked to the same show as you.  ;)

I miss Bree.. hope that she's on one of those unwatched episodes already!

Ah good..hope they will release season 3 soon.... :)

I agree with butsoy that the war btw Gabby-Carlos war is over-acting.  :-[

However, the most hated charater for me is Bree's son...what an ungrateful & spoil-brat son who is willing to back-stab, humiliate & even to the extend of black-mailing & suing his own mother!!  >:( Oh man I was so happy when Bree decided to just left him in the middle of nowhere. Serve him right!  ::)
