We are not sure if we can you give you an objective view on this matter since audio is highly subjective. Perhaps, the best way for us to answer your query is simply to be honest
The aelites are indeed warm sounding speakers. If set-up correctly, the will not offend. Given two mid-basses, they go down lower than the Ikons. If you like speakers that are warm sounding, then you might like the Aelites.
The Ikon's strengths are in dynamic and temporal contrast. If you value these attributes, then the Ikons might be for you
Are these speakers bright as some have indicated. Yes, it can be. However, the Ikons can also sound full bodied and warm depending on the associated equipment.
But we still encourage you guys to visit the store and listen to them Ikons
