Yup, the HTM61 can play significantly louder and matched din naman siya 684. Medyo darker lang yung character nya than the rest of the 600 series models. It's not enough to bother most people, though many do seem to notice it.

I was backreading the B&W thread, and I saw your post above, what do you mean by "Darker" character? Is the difference between the HTM61 and HTM62 that significant?

I plan to use either with my B&W605s2.

Help me to decide.....no chance for audition kasi orderin ko sa DUBAI...pero napakinggan kona ang 2nd Set up....oki naman siya gamit ang Denon na AVR...so sa YAMAHA A810 not yet...

I'll take the second set anytime (floorstanders and bigger sub). I was choosing between these 2 setups as well a few months ago and I'm glad I settled for the floorstanders. But instead of getting the ASW610, I got an SVS SB12NSD since most reviews I've read favored the SVS over the B&W sub. I have yet to get a pair of 686 for surrounds though (planning to get them within the week).

If you have a smaller room, chances are you won't care too much. The 685 and the 684 are quite dissimilar in sound. The 685 is a bit more forward-sounding and detailed, while the 684 has a bigger and more laid back sound. Both are good speakers though.

Sir, ano po ang comment/suggestion mo? wala po kasi ako nabasa....

bali ang set po ng 684 - Front, 686 - Rear, HTM62 - Centre, ASW 610 - Sub ay makukuha ko po ng 2nd hand sa friend ko dito sa KOB sa halagang 100k including the AVR Denon 1912 + Straightwire speaker cables.

Mura napo ba sa 100k ang package?

i think most audio video stores carry B&W. they can also order it for you from the distributor. as for the best deals, try to haggle for discounts..

i doubt there will be new release within the year.. they have just launched the white version of 686 and 685..

for 25k i think its 685 model. 684 most probably 54k srp locally.

i am using rotel ra06se for my 685s.. please try to audition also nad and tube amps..

Try mo sir rotel 06 kaya na yan.since madali nman i drive yan.
