guys, what do you think of the new mission m3 series?? lalo na yung m33 and m34? may nag audition na ba sa inyo nito? I'm currently choosing between m33, m34 and AE evo3... ano ba mas ok for home theater? btw, i will use this with harman's avr230..

either mission or AE can go well with harman AVR.

for me, ang mas ok eh yung mas mura.  ;D

if you have the money, go for AE.

Mga sir just got the prices in what do you think of the offer?  Fair ba yung mga presyo for second hand units?  I still have to see and auditon them personally but they are seldom used I know as he is seldom home.

- 773e Php 28K
- 77C1 Php13,500
- 77DS Php15,500
- 7AS2 Sub Php26K

The Mission Cinema 7 System, that is,  773e+77c1+77ds, including the 7as2 sub, was a very highly regarded setup in many reviews 4-5 years ago.  I doubt if they are still available brand new in the market since they have been superseded by newer mission speaker lines.

If you can get them at very good prices, and assuming they are in excellent condition, you will not regret it. (If I had the budget several years ago, I would have gotten this. Instead I settled for m74 fronts and m7ds and the 77c1 center--this center speaker I got for, take note, P14,000, 3 years ago.)

For the prices quoted to you however, I suggest you canvass/audition around. I'm not updated with prices but I believe you have a lot more choices--even from the mission line--that are brand new at those prices.

Ty Sir Gaol,

Will check the prices of the new ones as well unless he lowers the price maybe by 50%?  Fight na!!!  >:D

guys,

Mission Accomplished din ako for my HT setup. ;)

i am a proud owner of mission M73i, Mc1i and M70i series. ;D

Cool ! I'm still for the day to come na makompleto ko yung sa akin.

guys, what do you think of the new mission m3 series?? lalo na yung m33 and m34? may nag audition na ba sa inyo nito? I'm currently choosing between m33, m34 and AE evo3... ano ba mas ok for home theater? btw, i will use this with harman's avr230..
It's bias if I'll say na you get the m33 or M34, BUT, if ever I'll choose then I'll get the M33 or M34. I've been using M33 for more than 6 months, and I use it everyday.  The clarity of that speaker never fades nor fails. Some people might think that I am saying this because I have an M33, but the truth is I really like the Mission speakers because of very good mid-range and I like the sound of the silk dome tweeters, kasi very soft and hindi masakit sa tenga ang highs (I onced owned an M72i). If you'll compare it with metal tweeters, malayo siempre and it's up to you to decide regarding the highs. With regards M34 and M33, mostly likely you'll hear the difference on the lower tone or sa mid-range. If you have a tight budget and plan to get a sub-woofer, then I suggest you get an M33 because it is cheaper and a good subwoofer (and I mean good subwoofer capable of less than 22Hz) can compensate the lack of bass or lower tone of your mid-range.

I also use my M33 with Luxman PD-277 turntable and the sound for me is really outstanding.

If you have a big budget, forget M33 and M34, get the Volare! :)

But still in the end, you should listen talaga and let your ears decide. ;)

kaibigan, dont rely too much on reviews. even if the reviews are good, the question is, would you have the same gears the reviewers had when they listened to it? it will sound different on different setups. its better for you to audition with your gears.

i have both evo1 and m33. i use m33 for front and evo1 for surround in my HT setup. evo1 also doubles for my audio listening, in the meatime until  .......  hehehe!   :-X  >:D ;D

what's your receiver?

JT, mura yan m52 sa 15k, quote dati sakin for the 5.1-setup using that as fronts was 100k, kasama yung malaking sub, di ko lang alam kung magkano yung m52 as separate pair.

Peeps, maybe you can help. I'm planning to buy Mission surround speakers that will complement my M73i, balita ko kasi phase-out na pala yung M70i/M70. So anong klaseng mission surrounds na lang ang bilhin ko and where..or baka naman me alam pa kayong store na nag-sell ng M70i
Thanks :-[

Calvin,

If you cannot find an M70i  you can use M71 instead. Its quite larger than M70i but I think it will fit and complement your M73i..

I'm currently using a pair of M72 in my setup connected to an Onkyo 494 receiver. I can say that I'm very satisfied with the performance of the M72, be it in movies or in music. At first, medyo parang bitin ang tunog but after 1 week of breaking-in, it started churning out beautiful sound that seems to get better everytime i listened. With regards to the bass, for me it's adequate maybe because of the small size of my room.

I also auditioned the B&W DM303 before i bought the M72. I didn't find much difference in sound but the M72 actually has a little more bass. I decided on the M72 because it's a little cheaper and it's also biwirable unlike the DM303.

I can say that my M72 paired with the Onkyo 494 is an adequate setup (love it especially in music), but i heard it paired with the Yamaha and it also sound great. And the Yamaha 530 has more power than the 494. But I think it's better for you to try it yourself auditioning the M72 together with your probable receivers and remember that what matters most is the quality of sound and power is secondary.  :)
