  The anonymous guy was me. I was hoping for an R1 version so I passed up on that. I may have noticed you kaya lang hindi rin ako sure kung PinoyDVDer ka rin kaya medyo hiya rin akong magreact. Sayang sana nilapitan mo na si sir MatzTER. He's nice naman.

Was there around 8:00 p.m. Ang daming tao! Alam mo kung sinong member ng PinoyDVD kasi pinupuno talaga ng iba yung basket nila. As in parang panic buying ng DVD's! Anyway, I got the following:

1) Tarzan (2-Disc Special Edition), Php 250 --> it seems everyone has this in their shopping basket
2) Snatch (2-Disc Superbit Deluxe Edition), Php 450
3) Hitch (not the budget version), Php 333
4) The Muppets Take Manhattan, Php 333
5) Ben Hur (4-Disc Special Edition), spankin' brand new at Php 1250

Bibili pa sana ako, kaso I just got three titles from PARC yesterday (Toy Story 10th Anniversary Edition, The Nightmare Before Christmas (DTS), and SpongeBob SquarePants Complete Third Season). Haaaay! There's always a next time!

The Italian Job is on sale at P999.  It includes the old movie as well as the new one.  Not really a bargain.  I went to Radio City at Shangrila and got the Italian Job (DVD9) for P375.  It's their last copy.

hmm  weird, i got it for 666 bucks, hindi kaya mali lang ang tingin sa counter at baliktad ang nakitang price na 666 pesos to 999 pesos?

WOW!!!  Grabe sa dami ng tao!  Was there around 11am and ang dami nang ubos na titles like Lion King and Mulan.  Yung ibang tao dun, probably PinoyDVD members, puro puno ang basket.

For those looking for Lion King SE, isa lang talaga dumating na copy.  Nareserve na the night before.  So talagang walang aabutan.  Lucky guy/girl.  Sino kaya yun?  Wala pa bang umaamin?

About Mulan 2disc SE, meron bang dumating?  Kahit yung mga naka reserve na piles, wala naman ako napansin.

Sir MAtZTER...sayo pala yung mataas na stack?  Actually 2 rows of stack pa nga yata sa may counter.  Noticed it kasi what caught my attention was the 3 Region 1 copies nga of Aladdin.   

My observation lang:

1.  Dapat yung Shark Tale, kasama sa 3 for 999.  Kasi single disc lang pala siya.  Akala ko 2 discs.
2.  Yung mga 2 discs na kasama sa Astro SM Makati sale sa 3 for 999 like Bad Boys 2 & Punch Drunk Love, nasa 475 each na siya.  Buti nakakuha na ako dati.
3.  Mga recent releases sinama sa sale like, A Lot Like Love, Guess Who?, Are We There Yet, Hitch, Man of the House, Closer...which is a good thing.

 If The Incredibles DVD was the flavor of the month last sale, Tarzan naman ngayon. It seems almost everyone grabbed themselves a copy of this one. Sulit naman talaga sa P250 lalo na at ahead tayo sa US with this particular edition. It's a good thing I was able to grab the Saving Private Ryan 60th Anniversary Edition for P475 from the Astro SM Makati sale a couple of weeks ago. P650 siya sa Podium. Despite that, it's a good sale and I'm very thankful that I now have Tarzan. It's 1 of my Disney animated favorites because of its cool soundtrack and it's action-packed.

Actually they do that para ngang every 2-3hrs.  Una napansin ko yung mga bagong dating na mga boxes of DVDs nilagay muna sa may dulo after the CD areas.  Then when I was leaving, nag tag na sila sa may 2nd floor yata.  Kasi pag may dumadating na mga bagong boxes, minomob sila kung anong mga titles na dumating.


So they do replenish.  Unfortunately, it may not be the replenishment of titles na hard to find.

Enjoyable sale!!!  Reserved Beauty & the Beast SE a week ago (and called and went there again to confirm) but when I got there yesterday wala na =( 

Hard to get angry tho since some of the staff are really nice.  Especially the saleslady handling the Disney discs.  Disappointed at the most, napaasa kse, hehe.  Would have preferred that early on, nasabi na walang mare-reserve =)

The Moulin Rouge is the  2-disc version, and it even includes DTS track. I got one for myself last night, along with Ice Age Extreme Cool Edition (also 2discs). I specifically collect 2 disc DVDs, so the Viva DVDs were really a bargain, though I already have some of the other titles na.

For those who want to start their collection, the following are the notable 2-disc DVDs I saw for the price of P250 (A real bargain considering that a blank DVD9 costs higher than that):

we got 4 titles:    Tarzan 2 disc, Planet of the apes 2 disc, Napoleon Dynamite and Honey, I shrunk the kids.

Na dissappoint lang kasi ako Schindler's List is @ P999 pa din. Hindi na kaya bababa yun?

just bought Indiana Jones BoxedSet for 1,200 and a couple of Barney for my son.
i initially wanted lion king and alladin r1. nakabili na kasi ako ng tarzan se last sept. 1
(first day of disney sale) for 300. lugi pa pala ako ng P50! 

nakita ko pa kanina 'yung stack of DVD's which includes 3 R1 alladin and italian job.
i've asked the ladies at the counter kung pwedeng bilhin. hindi raw talaga.
whew.  hindi man lang nagtira. hehehe.
