What T-amp would you guys recommend? Budget 10k++

sir napansin ko fs sa marketplace yung ta2020 t-amp mo. i guess if you are upgrading and want a more powerful tripath chip based amp, its the tk2050. ok yun Sure tk2050 ni sir ivan.

pero kung hindi issue sa iyo ang power (pag may 93db+ speakers ka at hanap excellent mids & hf, you may wanna try the ta2024. pwede mo ipa-modify upgrade kay sir monreq.

try mo din virtue audio- model One or Two. you can pm sir romymartinez

gumagamit ba kayo ng preamp kapartner ng t-amps niyo?
gamit ko ss preamp audionics by oregon bt2 vintage.

I dont have the technical know-how para bumuo ng sariling T-amp. I think pang DIY'ers ang Sure Tk2050 although I could be dead wrong. The TA2024 is also in one of my choices kaso wala akong alam na nagbebenta ng ready made amp with this implementation. I also dont have a sensitive speaks kaya issue nga ang power para sakin.

Hindi ako gumagamit ng preamp with my 2024. I run straight mula sa headphone amp ng MacBook Air 11.6". It sounds really good now. Pero curious din ako sa tunog kung dumaan sa magandang dac at tube buffer.

Psst! Di ako tech guy to upgrade others...  hobbyist lang ako. Kaya naman nila yan kahit di na ako ang gumawa basta marunong lang sila  maghinang. :)

Hako din hindi hako gumagamit ng pre amp or external DAC.  Kasi may DAC na ang Sony CDP 950 ko. In my observation mas raw at makapal tumunog kapag rekta sa source ang tripath.  Iyong details makukuha na yan kapag nag upgrade ng magandang klaseng DC Power cap. :)

nice development over at elab.ph, there is an on-going design for a class D amp:

http://www.electronicslab.ph/forum/index.php?topic=28009.msg506818;topicseen#msg506818
http://www.electronicslab.ph/forum/index.php?topic=28011.0

a serious attempt by pinoy techies to design and build one....... ;D

yesterday, this package was delivered to me:

carefully wrapped in anti-static bubble wrap:

this a prototype module for me to design a linear power supply and then do evaluation.
i am planning on using +/- 35 volt rails which will give me over 100watts at 4 ohms....

btw, the output chokes are made out of sendust core, several strands form a litz wire to take care of the skin effect, this amp operates on a clock cycle of about 300khz, this is our version of the "magic choke" being bruited about elsewhere......

will update you on progress once psu is done.... ;D

Sir Tony,

Did you suggest and provide the Sendust core? Also, isn't an LC filter a requirement for this type of amplifier?

^no the use of the sendust core came from another member....and yes, an lc filter is required to filter out the high frequencies at the output stage....

Help po for a newbie.

I'm planning to get a Sure TK2050
This one:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-X-100Watt-Class-D-Audio-Amplifier-Case-TK2050-/120771627729?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c1e8ccad1

May nakita ako 24v/4a max.
Is that enough?

Thanks!
