The movie's been playing in the U.S. for just over a month so I don't think we'll be getting news of a DVD release for this just yet. This might be released early next year pa.

This film shares so much commonality with Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas which also has Danny Elfman scoring.  Just saw one last weekend from you know where; (so many titles are out especially at this time when studios are wooing the Oscars for "their award consideration.")  ;D   Hope to get the collector's edition soon.

ey bos' redge! di ba 550 lang deluxe editions ng warner?

i hope they bring back the old packaging of warner! yung imported talaga kahit may konting slit for their dumb avidphil/videogram stickers! at least we know that they are really imported not locally packed/assembled

ang sama kasi ng amaray cases nila lately
what?! are you talkin' to me!!!

I'm here at Hongkong right now and the region 3 DE release has a lenticular cover (same as Batman) and an illustrated storybook that's probably as thick the the one that came with batman. Nagdadalawang isip lang ako kung bibilhin ko dahil hk$200 sa HMV and HK$149 sa tabi-tabi.

I was a able to take a peek at a copy of the WARNER BROS. NEWSLETTER for FEBRUARY 2006. This is one of the titles listed for a February 2006 release.

Any update on the release date locally?

Or you could just get my extra copy again kung makalimot ka... ;D ;D ;D A definite must-have. But am still waiting for confirmation on how the DE will actually look like and what extras it has. Maybe sir firewired can update us on any news regarding this.

there's another version that i found at yes asia seems like Australia is releasing a 2 disc version of Corpse Bride, though they didn't specify the content of the 2nd disc.

here's the link

http://global.yesasia.com/en/PrdDept.aspx/code-w/section-videos/pid-1004104175/

also the single disc Australian version is sporting a different cover
http://global.yesasia.com/en/PrdDept.aspx/code-w/section-videos/pid-1004116266/

I think the single disc might have been a cover error or a picture error
bec I went to www.ezydvd.com.au  and they're presenting the single disc in the regular cover

http://www.ezydvd.com.au/item.zml/781722

lastly, could anyone help confirm about the 2 disc corpse bride? Bec I went to some
Australian online dvd store that I could fine and so far they are ALL carrying the single disc.

Two versions will be released later this week with a third being hotly debated on because of the consequences if it doesn't move:
- Widescreen edition (Php499)
- Deluxe edition with the lenticular case, the collectible book, and collectible magnetic balls (not quite sure what those are but they're limited to the first so many hundred copies) (Php599)
- (Possibly) Collector's edition with 2 very limited collectible 6" figurines (Php1,200 but no book, slipcase, balls)

Two copies of the ff release for me:

--------

- Deluxe edition with the lenticular case, the collectible book, and collectible magnetic balls (not quite sure what those are but they're limited to the first so many hundred copies) (Php599)

- (Possibly) Collector's edition with 2 very limited collectible 6" figurines (Php1,200 but no book, slipcase, balls)

------

warner must shape up now. a better packaging would do our country good. all eyes in the Philippines for this LE. hopefully, the elusive and ultra rare set with  6" figurines would be released. a simple certificate with number would be a plus!

any specific date? thanks firewired!

for the DE with lenticular case (P599), would we need early reservations again to our favorite astro stores?  ;D

also, are these figurines of Victor Van Dort and the Corpse Bride?
