Can cannot recommend a specific audio cable or RCA jack. However, in my experience:
1. RCA jack - the good male RCA jacks normally have a "C" type cross sectional diagram
across both sides. The downward slope at the top of the "C" creates a reverse clamping
action and ensures good connectivity to the female connector. I bought a couple at
Richland in Raon, they are coloured blue for Php 20/ea. Also saw a silver colored RCA jack
near Richland for Php 50/ea but has a shallower pit.
In laymans terms, mas masikit iyung kulay asul sa dulo tapos iyung silver masikip na siya sa
simula pa lang. For experiments, the blue one is ideal. Get the silver one if you have already
settled with your set-up.
2. Cables - get a cable with a teflon inner insulator. You get less high frequency coupled noise
plus if you're making your own cable, teflon withstands higher temperature and will melt longer
- lesser probability of inner conductor shorting with outer conductor.
