Watch the movie last night, ok yun movie but comparing the dark scenes ng narnia & I am legend, para sa akin mas deep yun black ng i am legend. I'll rate it 4 out of 5 stars sa PQ(using AE900, PS3),   Haven't tried disc 2 yet kaya can't really comment on it.

Watch the movie last night, ok yun movie but comparing the dark scenes ng narnia & I am legend, para sa akin mas deep yun black ng i am legend. I'll rate it 4 out of 5 stars sa PQ(using AE900, PS3),   Haven't tried disc 2 yet kaya can't really comment on it. 

may dvd copy ksi ako ng narnia thats why m asking if its worth buying the bluray release. ksi kung parehas lng PQ definitely d nako bibili.

Next target is the Logitech G25 & a playseat(meron kaya dito?)  hirap mag drive using the sixaxis controller, malayo pa sa F1 2007, 35,000 credits palang ako.

I bought this kasi ganda ng reviews nitong narnia bluray transfer but comparing it with i am legend & even i, robot, mas napapansin mo na bluray talaga ang pinapanood mo with the latter two.  This is just my opinion ha  I'm sure with a properly calibrated 1080p projector, mas improve ang labas kahit na anong source.

US copy yun BD i,robot ko. I rate it 5 stars sa PQ, ang fine & kita talaga details (silky smooth)  all this with a 720p pj & sariling sikap na calibration. My Wishlist... True HD & DTS MA receiver, then it's time to watch all those bluray disc again with new experience in sound of course.

yun ksi conclusion ko eh the bluray's pq is just a notch ahed of dvd releases the only great thing is the losses audio in bluray but you need an excellent receiver to experience and enjoy that technology. magastos yan bro dpat pati speakers top of the line.

The Video: Sizing Up the Picture

One of Disney's most eagerly-anticipated Blu-ray catalog releases yet, 'The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe' does not disappoint. This is an excellent 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 encode that can easily stand as a demo disc.

Aside from a few darker moments of slight stylization (which display a decidedly desaturated and blue cast), the majority of 'Narnia' is bright, bold and lush. The sense of depth is simply fantastic -- the "picture window" effect is on full display. The color palette is very pretty, with wonderful pastoral greens and oranges (a rarity, it seems, with most transfers today, which look all hi-tech and "edgy"). Saturation is excellent, with a super-clean look and no chroma noise or fuzziness.

Blacks are rock solid throughout, and contrast is strong enough to deliver the required detail while never sacrificing realism. Even the widest shots are alive with detail and sharpness, and the source print is spotless. Disney has also produced a clean encode, so compression artifacts are not a problem. 'Narnia' looks smashing.

Yung earning ng credits ang mahirap para lang makuha yung F1 car. Almost finished the game, sa last 2 races sa Suzuka (S-6 at S-10). Kailangan mahaba yung pasensya mo sa game na 'to.

PQ in BD is a big jump as compared to SD...trully 5-star performance! Together with the AQ...this is a MUST collect BD (of cos if you like the movie)!

With the little price difference between Bluray disc(from Amazon) & standard dvds(astrovision), I guest it's better to invest in bluray disc. mas sulit, the future is bluray. Not all bluray disc are created equal , some have bad transfers too lalo na sa mga single layer bluray disc. To be safe & be not dissapointed, check the reviews first before buying.

No, bluray is not just a notch above dvd. Actually big leap yan from sd dvd 480i to blurays 1080p. Read some of the reviews sa http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/ may good & bad reviews ng mga disc diyan.

wow infernal affairs 2 and 3 already in BD? Hows the quality? As far as i know only the first Infernal Affair movie is certified bluray. Where did you buy the trilogy? How much ? Those are great movies, I like them very much but for me the best is the 2nd part w/c revealed the origin of the story.
