I called Theaterworks yesterday, wala pa raw 705, although meron lang sila as of yesterday is the 605.

how much po purchase ninyo 705 and what shop? seriously considering onkyo coz denon's 1.3s are way, way out of my budget. tnx.

Next year pa raw available 705. By that time mas affordable na sya (35-40k) coz of the 1.) peso appreciation and 2.) proximity of the factory, Malaysia.

Hopefully our local resellers price it reasonably. Unless they do that i might be forced to settle for the Denon.

My latest calculation is around 38-40K if ordered from Amazon and delivered to JAC NY then to Philippines. IATA rate at this time is around 43.25. Bababa pa yan next year.

SRP for the Philippine released Onkyo 705 will be around 46k daw. So I guess the advantage of ordering abroad will be cheaper overall but then if your unit is defective, you will have to ship it to the US to avail of the warranty although Toyama has communicated that they can repair units ordered abroad (US or Hongkong) but then walang warranty. Wala pa klarong release date ang Toyama (Onkyo distributor) sa Philippines. Sabi nila next year pa daw. AV stores are trying to bring the units in themselves and maybe before the year ends meron na siguro dito sa atin c/o the AV stores and not Toyama.

At a rate the way the peso is appreciating, it is very possible na maging 40k ang 705. Real bang for the buck, THX na equippedpa ng latest audiocodecs. Real value for money.

Last time I ask JAC Davao, around 12k for the volume weight of Onkyo 705 + 5% insurance fee

i spent about 12k when shipping to manila.. and this was during 47 peso to 1 dollar rates at the time
plus i got charged udner weight!! cause they put a lot of extra cushion in the box.. though it cost more.. im glad they did since looking at how they handled the box.... it must have cushioned a lot blows.
