Syriana will be out in retail stores on Wednesday, 19 July. As per the PinoyDVD online store manager Mr. Guerry, they'll start accepting orders sometime tomorrow for delivery the following day. For every Php1-K++ order, shipping is free.

saw this title last night and it's a two-disc release (550 bucks) unlike the r1 with one disc
the features can be found on the second disc as stated on the label
that's wierd!

Must be DVD-5 each.  The R1 could be DVD-9 so the features fit.

According to Warner, Syriana R3 is on 2 DVD-9 discs due to the pirated version that circulated in Asia almost 2 months ago. Putting the Special Features on a separate disc ensured that the original release would remain distinct from the bootleg.

In terms of differences, they're not sure if the R3 has more features than the R1:
- A Conversation with George Clooney (R1/R3)
- Make a Change, Make a Difference (R1/R3)
- Deleted Scenes (R1/R3)
- Theatrical Trailer (R1/R3)
- Weaving Reality into Drama (R3 listed only)
- A Conversation with Matt Damon (R3 listed only)

I used Amazon and PinoyDVD.biz to compare. Can anyone with the R1 version confirm the feature list on their disc?

Disc 1 is 6.5 gigs.  Disc 2 is 2.1 gigs.

The R1 version and the ones shown in theatre is rated R.  This one has a huge rated PG sticker on it.  WTF??

Don't pay much attention to the ratings on those MTRCB stickers. They've been out of whack ever since.

Thus the R1 on a single DVD9 disc.  The contents would fit one.

Just watched this dvd yesterday. I was not supposed to buy it but since i had to replace a defective audio cd at Odyssey and there was nothing remotely interesting to buy, i just bought Syriana.
I'm glad i bought it. Fans of Traffic or LA Confidential should like it.

I also removed the MTRCB sticker. It makes the dvd look cheap.

Its in the league of L.A. Confidential & Traffic, esi, to back-up daigoro's post. Clooney is great here. With that price tag, might grab this one over the R1 release.
