Auraeus Solito's new digital film. Shooting starts this coming April at Phil. Science High School in Q.C. A stone's throw away from my office.

Yeah it would be fun to see some cameos from the alumni of PISAY. I'm not an alumni but I'll gatecrash on the set.

Good luck getting in! Last time I went there (back in 2000), the security was very strict. There have been incidences where unwanted people just go inside the campus (Pisay being virtually surrounded by squatters' areas) or students escaping from classes to go to SM. Sometimes, the students there aren't even safe from their own classmates. I know for a fact that two boys are now under trial for spiking a girl academic rival's water jug with a mercury compound. Oh! How the pressures of genius would, a good digital film, make!

Aureaus I think was also an alumnus of PISAY. Set in the 80's, Cinemalaya 2007 will be a powerhouse this year!

2999 is also set in the 80's.

I truly hope those people can differentiate the terms alumnus, alumna, alumni and alumnae.  ;D

For everyone's sake......

"Alumnus" is the masculine singular; "alumni" is masculine plural; "alumna," femine singular; and "alumnae," feminine plural

 ;)

I'm sorry to hear that knowing the distinction between those terms already qualifies one to be a walking dictionary.

Actually, those terms are easy.  My classmates and I learned them from our elementary teacher in our Grade 4 English class.  ::)

I have to get a legit DVD copy of "Blue Jeans" to get the sequence where Dina Bonnevie danced in front of the school. Yes they did shoot scenes in Pisay.

Cool. Is this the scene where Alfie Anido was giving instructions to Dina where they will present a dance number?

I just saw the dance number in front of the Admin Building along Agham Road.

PISAY will have a stiff competition with Sockie Fernandez' GULONG based on the trailer that I've seen. Still have to see the teaser of ENDO.

Based on the trailers I've seen the one I find most interesting is Tribu. But the one I'm most excited about is Still Life because of Ron Capinding's performance. He's my favorite stage actor.

By the way, is Yamamoto writing?

Michiko wrote ENDO if I'm not mistaken, joey.

PISAY will be the top grosser of this year's fest judging from the buzz among the students.

Passed by CCP a while ago, they were now busy in preparation for tomorrow's event. PISAY'S poster is in half-sheet, very different on all the one-sheet posters hanging now inside the CCP and will surely catch your attention!

I've a very tight sked next week so I'll try my very best to catch this one, which is on the top of my Cinemalaya viewing list, despite the near-impossibility, come hell or high water. Can see it tonight but I'd like to see it in the big screen--preferably at the main theater--and not at the MKP with a plasma screen. :P :-\
