Here are the specifications of local Regza 37A3000:

* 1366 x 768 pixels, * World-Wide NTSC/PAL/SECAM Color System - Watch any video signal on this TV! * 37-inch “Magic Square Algorithm” LCD TV with PC input and HDMI, * World-Wide NTSC/PAL BG/PAL I/Secam BG, DK/ PAL DK TV tuners, * Widescreen 16 X 9 Format, * 1200:1 screen contrast ratio, 6000:1 Dynamic contrast Ratio provides incredible images whether you're watching dark or bright scenes! * 500cd/m2 High Brightness, * Meta Brain Pro, * 3D Colour Management, * single HDMI INPUT, * 1.07 Billion Colors (1,024 Tones), *Real speed Progressive Scan, * allows you to invert the image upside-down or "mirror" image if you need to hang it in an unconventional manner. * Lamp Life: 60,000 hours, * PC input, * 2 Component Input (Y/Pr/Pb ), * S-Video Input, * Composite (AV) Video Input, * Power Consumption AC: 65W, * World-wide Dual Voltage 110-240 volts 50-60 hertz, * 1 year parts and labor Limited Warranty from Toshiba Philippines.

Before you buy a US Regza, perhaps you may wish to consider the following:

The US version 37" REGZA comes in 110 volts while the 37A3000 Regza is autovolt.  With autovolt TV, you are safe from accidentally plug your TV into a wrong voltage. Not to mention that you also save yourself from buying a step-down transformer.

The US version 37" Regza can only handle NTSC video source while the 37A3000 handles PAL/Pal-Secam/and NTSC video. Although in our country we subscribe to NTSC format, the PAL system format is sometimes helpful for viewer who wishes to watch video recorded in PAL system. Many dvd discs, especially the pirated ones, were recorded in PAL system format.

The local Regza carries a 1-year guaranty.  The local Toshiba distributor provides after-sales service during the guaranty period.  This means that in the event that the TV konks out within 30 days, the distributor will replace the TV for another one. The distributor also  provide service unit, if the TV would take longer than a week to repair.

The issue of needing one or three HDMI inputs is a choice on one's need.  Consumer goes for multi HDMI input for simple set-up.  A multi HDMI inputs allow you the flexibility of connecting all your video source into TV rather than being constrained by a one input.

Of course, there is one advantage to the US Regza 37HL67: the HD tuner which will allow you to receive HD broadcast. The question is "do you need a HD tuner?" Chances are you won't need one now when HD broadcast is still not available.

Lastly, at the price of US Regza $999. or Php50,000. (inclusive of shipping costs) versus Php55,000. (selling at Sights and Sounds located at 4th level Shangri-La Plaza), the consumer won't go wrong if he buys it locally than to bring one from US.  At Sights and Sounds, you can even avail for easy 6 month installment payment at Php59,999.00 thru credit card. That's only Php1,000. month!

E-Reply, I can't ask for better information than what you provided.  Its very comprehensive and informative.  I surely need to reconsider buying in the U.S.  I will check out Sights and Sounds next month.  I'd even say they need to give you a commission if they close the sale  ;D

Thanks!

There are a lot of positive reviews about the the 37A3000. I got a 32" thinking that the review applies to all sizes of the 3000 series.

Is the overall picture quality of the 37" really better than the 32"? Am I missing alot (not considering the bigger size)?

By doing side by side comparison between 32A3000 and 37A3000, we find very little improvement in picture clarity with 32a3000.  This must be due to same number of pixels found in both LCD TV.  The condensed pixels must have made the 32" look better, though the difference between the two TVs is not that quite far.

The Regza was on sale sa Ayala Center kahapon...BPI Installment Madness.
If you buy the 32 A3000E and 37 A3000E it'll only be 99,900.
Not really sure if this is a good deal but if you look at it around 50K for each LCD.

Pero kung isa lang medyo mahal...kais they're selling it for 75K.

The Regza on sale at BPI Madness is actually a 2 in one offer.

This is how the package was computed:

Toshiba 32" 32a3000 at card payment 6 months Php41,580.00 or cash Php38,500.00. Add Php7,000.00 for a home-theater system.

Toshiba 37" 37a3000 at card payment 6 months Php58,320.00 or cash Php54,000.00. Add Php7,000.0 for a home-thater system.

Both TV combined will cost you at card payment 6 months Php99,900.00 or cash at Php92500.00.

Instead of buying two units at one time, you may purchase them separately.

Please note that the above goods have Goldway-Toshiba 1 year guaranty certificates.

For particular or further info, you may send me e-mail.

Tama ka. kakakuha ko lang 32a3000 38,500. sa Sights and Sounds. my 32a3000 also has Goldway guaranty.

Hey all I bought my 37A3000E about a month ago and last night, I noticed ghosting during cable viewing. Thankfully this problem only arises during regular cable viewing. I checked out dvd, blu ray and ps3 gaming and didn't experience this problem.
Anyone else here encountered my dilemma? Any tips on how to fix this?

Why get 2 units or 3 units at one buying when you can get 1 unit at the same price? I got my Toshiba 32a3000 at P37,000.00 at Sights and Sounds. It comes with Goldway-Toshiba guaranty card.  Listening group selling cheaper but no official certificate. Grey market Toshiba daw ang binebenta ng Listeneing group, sabi ng Toshiba Company.

Instead of buying 2 units, siguro you just buy another unit in the future.  Baka, bumaba pa ang price ng LCD TV.

tama ka dyan Alfie7, listening room, style and theaterworks sell cheaper but dont have official service warranty, sa alam ko sarili lang sila magrepair but so far matibay naman ang toshiba regza kaya walang gaano nakapansin at complain regarding the warranty.

The regzas seem to be reliable. Wala pang nagpopost ng complaints, or nagca-claim ng warranty  ;D
Anyone?

Just bought Toshiba Regza 32A3000E from Sights and sound shangri-la. Other units of the same price and specs were in display side by side so I had the chance to compare the units before buying.

The verdict,

Panasonic TX32LE7 - Deeper blacks, great for movies
Sharp Aquos 32 inch (forgot the model no.) - Very sharp and bright images, great for HD gaming.
Toshiba Regza 32A3000E - Balanced performance, smoother movements

Source: Pioneer blu-ray player with blu-ray demo disc.

I chose REGZA because it has the best balance among the three. And guess how much - P35K CASH PRICE! (all three have the same price)
There is also Samsung and Hitachi, a little bit more expensive, around 39K ata.
