super upgrade brader den!

if you don't mind, how big is the room?  and how is the PB12 filling it now?

at any rate... am sure you are enjoying every minute now of that theater experience!

cheers and have a grand time!  ;)

You are correct there Jazzy Jake, super upgrade!  Big difference & new experience ang effect ng PB12NSD.  My room size 18'(l) x 11'(w) x 8.5'(h), the PB12 is well integrated sa whole system, smooth/powerful bass.  Even listening to CD music is now enjoyable again.  I think the SVS compliment the brightness of the B&W 600 speakers.

12" din ang nanalo.  ;D ;D ;D

Will you resurrect the Atlantic sub at some time in the future?

Yes, 12" ang nanalo. The deal breaker between the PB10 & PB12 is better sound quality & better for music yun PB12.

Dual subs? maybe yes, next project!  ;D Still learning how to set it up.  Do you advice pairing it with the Atlantic?
For the mean time, happy with a single PB12.   :)

regarding the atlantic tech sub, i wouldn't recommend two different subs together, sir mark is an expert in calibration and it's very complicated to match the two subs together. (he considered many factors including finding subs with similar frequency responses)  i think it would even be a detriment to the overall sound quality.

great pics!  and great HT :)

I totally agree, it's not a minor upgrade...it's indeed a super upgrade! :D

Congrat Dennis, enjoy your new gear. ;)

Thanks Paul for those PMs, really helped me in choosing the right sub!  Will enjoy rewatching those blurays & even dvds again until the next upgrade hopefully HD audio na.   :)

Mike is correct but my guess is that your cost would be cables and some time. If that's all, I would try it out, just for curiosity.

Hello Lancito, my receiver only allows me to select either full range or 90Hz (large or small speakers).  I set all my speakers to small(90Hz crossover) & disabled the sub crossover switch.

Yeah, I would definitely try it out, just curious about how it sounds. Anyway, I did plan to revive my old 4:3 projection tv, denon 5.1 receiver & laserdisc collections(i hope the player still works).    ;D

Minor upgrade:

Replace the 12" Atlantic Technology subwoofer to this 12"...  :)

Recalibrate speaker levels (old school, no Audyssey yet)

*Thanks to HT gurus Paul, Mark & Mike for helping me out.   :)

Nice new gear and shots Sir!

Loving the SVS :D  I see the Manfrotto also very helpful for calibrating :D

Whoa I didn't realize it's a Manfrotto tripod pala...now I'd say that's a very expensive calibration done. :D

Color of the room is a very subjective matter...I'm still having conflict in deciding what "neutral" color to choose for my HT wall, floor & ceiling.... ;D

What's your floor Paul?

I'm still undecided as of now kc it will depend on the wall color.

As for the wall color, I'm still undecided as of now kc it will depend on the false column color.

As for the false column color...eh it's a complicated matter but will certainly select a neutral color. ;D

Thanks frootloops!  Yes, I got this from finiture last week, value for money talaga.  IMHO this seat beats those that cost 3x more. very comfortable specially when naka recline, parang pwede ka ng matulog dito.  :D

Kuya, paki pm naman ng contact numbers (price na rin ng kuha mo para maka haggle ako) ng Finiture...or where you got the seats.
Nice set-up!

I love you Papa DC!

Watching the "FREE" U2 360 BD disc that you gave me right now! Galing ng live version ng Ultraviolet... one of my all-time favorite U2 song. It was not on any of the 3 older DVDs that I have.

Weird lang playing this back with PowerDVD 10, at classic menu mode ok pero with the cinema menu mode walang audio. Bug siguro since bago lang itong PowerDVD 10.

I hope they play here in Pinas soon. Rock On!

:D Yup, great concert & some of the songs are a bit emotional don't you think?  ;D Lalo na yun "Walk on" & "With or without you" & "The unforgetable fire" reminds me of our high school days!  8)
