Panasonic TE32LE7 owner, unit bought from sir Jeff
For cable - You'll notice more graining than SDTV but some channels like CNN aren't as grainy. Switching channels takes time though, it'll take a while before the TV processes the signal of the new channel so surfing takes pretty looong. Set-up was easy though. User manual was pretty explicit. I chose Position, then CATV then auto tuning then presto! All cable channels appear in a cinch.
DVD Viewing - Very good, Had a Nextbase 818 connected via S-Video and the PQ was great, especially with DVD 9 titles. Blacks, as expected, don't translate as well as with most LCD's i think. Have since changed the player to a Philips DVD 5986 because I wanted DivX playback and to have less cable clutter with HDMI instead of cables, especially since the LE7 only has 1 component input (which was already in use). Also, no handshake issues with using the HDMI port.
Game consoles - Have a Wii connected via component and everything is fantastic. Colors are vibrant, and no stuttering issues whatsoever. Mario never looked any sexier IMO (in a non ghey way).
The units control button's are on the top though, I'd much prefer them if they we're on the side.
My final choices came down to the Samsung R81, LG LC4R, Panasonic LX70 and LE7. Opted for the LE7 so I could afford to buy a new DVD player w/ DivX playback via USB. Haven't left my room as much as I used too since purchase, which have led me to save money that I would have spent on gimiks, but instead I'll be purchasing a PS3 (primarily as a BluRay player) in a few weeks.
