I haven't engaged the Mezzos in critical listening but boy do they sing well with the 550a/c even when not seated at the sweet spot.

23+14 = 37..about the height of the carnival 6s. kung ka height ng mezzo 6 dapat 26 + 14 = 40.....pasok pa rin sa 40-45. kung yung rt 30 + 14 = 44 in....parang natataasan ako masyado pero pasok sa 40-45...para sa mga big dudes like guru ivan . so most likely rt 23 na.
i already talked to my sis and shes coming home next year pa..long wait..but libre na yung stands at shipping. yung first choice ko vti...kaya lang medyo mahaba yung top plate..baka lumawit sa wetpu area nung mezzo 2......looks like ill settle for the freebie and wait..for the mean time yung celestion k stands  (lapad ng top plate at medyo mababa pero solid)ang gamit ko.

I'm good with 24" stands. That should have the tweets just a few centimeters above my ear level when seated. For Master Ivan, that would be too low talaga. Haha!

By the way, what speaker cables are you using with the 550A + Mezzo2 combo? Thanks!

im using the silver cables with dampers given by an angel who passed away recently. ive tried the ecosse they are good too but the silver ones give the best results. the ecosse are very decent .

by the way guru raz, try this combination.......follow the manual when connecting the speaker cables, or use the red on top and black on the bottom.

Im on a hunt for my very 1st AVR mga master, may nakita po ako sa 5th ave na AZUR540R - 28k nalang po sya dating 30K plus yata. Any feedback on this model? Plano ko kasi gamitin mostly on music listening then konting movies. Thanks

Wala po siyang HD Audio decoding, Video Processing, fancy EQ at self-setup, unlike sa mga ibang brands na mas sikat. On the other hand, robust po ang amp section ng AVRs ng Cambridge, so generally maayos po sila tumunog kung without processing ang usapan. They also deliver rated power with all channels driven, and quite a bit more kung 2 channels lang ang gumagana.

640R gamit ko sa HT, and I'm quite satisfied with it for audio use (within the bounds of my expectations for this unit). Pero kung serious ka with 2 channel audio, baka mas maganda pa rin kung magdedicate ka ng system for it.

Sirs, do you consider CA integrated amps bright or warm? I have an old Mission 773e floorstanding speakers and planning to buy an integrated amp for 2 (.1) channel setup. I find these speakers more on the bright side since it lacks some bass. Do you think the CA int amp (550A or 650A) will complement these speakers? Thanks!

The 550 and 650 models are closer to neutral (the 640/740/840 are brighter-sounding). If you want something warm, you might want to look at something else.

If you want to stick with CA, the 350 is probably the warmest of the Azur line.

The new NADs have a bit more zing than older generations, but generally they are still warmer (and weightier) sounding when put beside CA amps. You can also look at other options from HK, Marantz, Rotel, Onkyo, Yamaha, etc.

What amp are you using at the moment?

I tried it with a Pioneer 920 AVR but recently sold it. I have a backup 5.1 avr (jvc) for my movie setup. I want to have a separate integrated amp for music listening so I'm looking between the CA and NAD amps and hope I can find a good match for my speakers.

You may want to look at a broader list, to give you more options. Also consider NADs from a generation ago, if you wanna tame the highs of your speakers. The new ones with model numbers ending with a 6 tend to output a bit more high frequency energy (when compared to older models).

Sabi po ni Master Raz, 350C (CD Player) at 350A (Integrated Amp) daw po ang entry level. 18.5k ata yun each (I don't remember exactly). Pre-out po ang meron siya, hindi subwoofer pre-out. You would be using the LPF of your bass module, kung kakabitan mo.

The 350 series has a warmer presentation than the rest of the Cambridge Audio lineup, if you want that type of sound. Check out the CA 550C / 550A o kaya yung Marantz CD5004 / PM5004, if you want a bit more sizzle.

Why don't you try and bring your speakers to any 5th Ave branch and listen to them CAs. Who knows, the results may be to your liking.

If you're going for the 350A/C, I suggest you go for the 550A/C instead as the price difference is little. But if you prefer a more warm presentation, then go for the 350s. I suggest you listen first to these CA gears as they may sound bright to you as most people tend to.

Nyak! It all started when Master Ivan had me listen to his highest fi CAs. Then I went and listened to other systems... and listened again to other CAs with different speakers hooked up. Then compared again to other systems. It was a long process but I ended up choosing the CA because it suited my listening preference. Now where was I... aaah... I was just saying na kung "malufet" ang tingin ni Master Ivan sa 550s... e di mas malufet ang 840s. Sino kaya meron nun?

If I remember correctly, the 340's last SRP before it got discontinued was around 13k. Though I believe it went much lower than that after applying discounts (10%) and sales.
