Guru Joey, we heard the Rega P1 nga pala nung Sat din. I was wondering how this would sound with an all CA setup paired with mezzos.

Meron silang P1 sa Trinoma, pero wala ata silang phono stage sa display. Dala ka lang ng plaka at phono stage.

Para sakin lang, pag entry level turntable (or using mass market cuts / pressings) mas bagay sa medyo warm at less revealing system para hindi masyado distracting yung scratchy sounds at pops.

guru raz, if and when you decide on getting a turn table, i will give you 3 pat metheney records

meron akong mga double copies. keep the psb's. you might like it when playing vinyl. even the carnival 6 sounds very good when playing lps.

matagal ko itatago etong 550a/540p/ms mezzo 2. siguro dac magic or 550c kasunod. then a better ttable.
gusto ko rin mag mezzo 9. pero i remember dati halos bihira ko gamitin yun velodyne sa music kasi may sub sonic noise mga ibang records. o kahit aviano 7, pwede na rin.

Isa lang po 840A ko, master. 840E / 840W po gamit ko sa probinsya. Pasensiya na po, Master Raz.

Guru Joey, Naku! Really appreciate the gesture (and would be very glad to have 'em) Hehe! Same here, very glad to be in the company of very good people. I would really love to keep the PSBs pero I'm gonna sell 'em for now para may funds for Mezzo.

I'm crossing my fingers that I will get to have another pair of PSBs (maybe Guru Ivan's Imagine

) in the near future.

As always, thank you for your and Master Ivan's guidance. I'm discovering something new about this hobby everyday. Lalo na with turn tables. I'm eyeing a turn table at less than 20k (or even less than 15k). Before I get one, I'll give you a list of choices that I have filtered. By the way, the P1 is easy on the ears. I need to listen to more so I can get a grasp on the sonic differences between turn tables.

But for now, the Mezzo comes first... and room acoustic treatments... and maybe a couple of good cables and ICs...

What color are your mezzos to match with your silver 550a? I think maganda rin if may shade ng black/oak or black/walnut yung stands.

the stands cost about 90us. a balikbayan box will cost about the same, 90us. since my sister will handle the bbox....malilibre shipping ko

ipapasabay ko lang. all i have to find out now is the size of the shipping box(stands), kung kakasya sa bbox. kung hindi i have to wait for my sis to come home next year.

Thank you for the suggestion Guru Joey. Though I'm still trying my luck with the Mezzo2s. 5th Ave says it'll take about 2 months to acquire another walnut or oak.

Good pm mga sirs, I'm planning to buy an integrated amplifier (Cambridge 350A or 550A) dedicated for my audio setup (music). Music source will be coming from an Ipod or PC via composite LR audio cable. Ok lang ba itong setup or do I need something (DAC gadget?) to maximize the quality of the sound that will be coming out of the amp/speakers? Big improvement po ba ang integrated amp compared to entry level AVR when it comes to playing music? Thanks!

You might want to check out the Cambridge iD50 Dock if you want improved sound quality. The iD100 Dock + DacMagic is also an option, if you're willing to part with that much money.

The 550A is an excellent amp for the price. Consider hearing this with the Mordaunt-Short Mezzo 2 speakers.

As for the improvement, depende na yan sa hinahanap mo. Just listen to the gear, and see if it's good enough for you.

Luckily, 5th Ave Park Sq has stock Mezzo2s...

Now I'm a happy camper...

I haven't engaged the Mezzos in critical listening but boy do they sing well with the 550a/c even when not seated at the sweet spot.
