Bumping this thread, since I heard one of the Studio 23 VJs say that the show will
probably debut locally in June.
I have two episodes to go before finishing the first season, and the show's finally taken a few steps beyond its "villain of the week" theme, which was getting tiresome. Yes, there's
still a villain-of-the-week, but the relationships between the characters are already being further explored. Previously, it was just the Clark-Lex friendship that had any noticeable development. Sadly, Jonathan and Martha Kent have returned to window dressing status.
For those of you with Canadian connections, the first 2 episodes are being released on DVD in Canada only on July 2:
