Saw this too together with some other newly packaged boxsets (Ice Age, Fantastic Four, National Treasure etc.) at Astro V-Mall. Packaging looks nice. They are not just the ordinary box case. Not sure of the discs quality.

Probably packaged all single disc editions together.

It seems VIVA has been repackaging a lot of the franchise titles in one box.
(Alien vs Predator, Fantastic Four, National Treasure, Ice Age and many many more)

Probably one of their ways to temp completists to double dip on titles.

In terms of disc quality, I can't comment on it since I never bought these box sets.
But since Viva's/FOX releases generally have great PQ & AQ so they're probably OK buys.

I'm just not sure if the 2nd special features discs are included.

What I hate about these boxed sets is the fact that there are no info available outside of the box. I got burned by the Marvel Superheroes boxed set before. The box looked very nice, but the content is very cheap. DVD_Freak is possibly right. It may be the budget editions inside

I'm personally not aware of Viva having "budget editions" of their Fox/Disney releases. From what I know, although the packaging is local, the discs themselves are still full imports, unlike Magna's budget editions which are pressed here. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

But Viva, that IS a very valid complaint. Look at R1 boxed set releases - even if the packaging sometimes lacks information, at the very least, there's usually a sticker on them with a disc count and a little teaser of what special features are included in the set. It makes a big difference to most collectors if these are single or double disc releases for each film.

Probably not "budget" editions but single disc editions....those initially selling for 550 upon release instead of the 2disc editions that go for 750.  But still the 550 single editions are excellent quality transfers.  But not too much probably on the special features side.

OT: Also saw High School Musical (very nice box set) and Princess Dairies boxset...  Her's hoping their The Nightmare before Christmas will have a case akin to HSM (like R1)...

Are the DVDs included the same as those previously released??

As in the same contents...??

btw
These "box sets" seems to be trending in our local market.

Die Hard 1 and 2 are from the original release since they are copyrighted 1999 both anamorphic WS and in 5.1 surround sound each with 1 featurette, trailer, cast and crew infos.

Since Viva didn't originally own the rights to distribute Die hard with a Vengeance (released locally by Solar), im sure we all know this already ;D ;D (and di ko lang alam pano na-transfer ang rights  ???) , this DVD is from the remastered 2007 re release with anamorphic WS and Dolby Digital 5.1, Thai, and DTS Tracks (as per label), no features.

Die Hard 4.0 is the single disc release, not the unrated, with Anamorphic WS, DD 5.1, Thai, Commentary (B. Willis, Dir, Editor) and DTS tracks. Features: Deleted Scenes, Gag Reel, Music Vid by Guyz Nite and Behind the Scenes with Guyz Nite.

Bought this set last week. Watched it and PQ is good but not great. Don't expect more coz this is not blu-ray  ;)

Watched it on a Panny 42" Plasma upscaled to 1080p.

Besides the P999 price tag is very cheap!
