Galing!
Pero maganda pa ba detail ng LF using dual sub sa ganyang kaliit na room?
awesomest!!!
There's no overkill naman sa subwoofer size for a particular room as quoted from Mike C. I was thinking of two ultra's pa nga kung may budget lang. The benefits of a dual subwoofer is that having a near flat response curve and wide area of sweet spot(more listeners will feel the bass). By achieving a flat response curve the details will be crystal clear no overpowering of other frequencies which would result to a muddy bass.
For my personal experience after upgrading to dual subs, you can feel the bass instead of just hearing it. I can feel my couch move, no need for bass shakers. Suddenly you are transported inside the movie. I can feel the cars pass by me in the Fast and Furious, I can feel their engines growl as if their inside my HT(only the scent of smoke would complete it). You can feel cars crashing into my walls, feel the impact of every punch, bullets struck your chest. The movie is now entirely new. I begin to watch my blu rays again and hear details i've never heard before.
We often neglect the .1 LFE channel in a 5.1 mix, but I think the .1 LFE channel contributes around 50% to the totality of the mix. If you don't hear LFE's properly, the whole movie would be entirely different. In essence the LFE channel completes the immersion of a 5.1 channel mix, you are not totally immersed unless you can reproduced the LFE's accurately.
You have to experience it to believe. I was once a doubting Thomas, but now a believer.
