Sanyo LCD 32K30 looks intresting!

Anyone try this unit?  How does it compare to the panny 32C10 ?

I ask as Panasonic bought the majority of Sanyo corp in 2008 and probably upgraded a lot of there products.

Panny 32C10 panel made in China and is "soft"?

Sanyo 32k30 panel made in Malaysia or Indonesia?

Similarly priced at about 20k.

I saw this one too yesterday sa trinoma, it has better pq than c10 i should say.

ang nakakainis lang, kasi yung officemate ko, niloloko naman kasi meron syang Sanyo na LCD, " ano yan pre, electric fan?" ;)

But its a really nice panel!

ako ito din pinamimilian ko Panny C10 and Sanyo 32k30 almost the same price. Sa theaterworks trinoma 21K itong Sanyo 32k30.

Parang napansin ko lang hindi appealing yung itsura nitong 32k30. what do you think guys?

Saw this at theaterworks trinoma, I must say that the pic quality is comparable, or even better than the panasonic x10 which was also on display (well that's my observation).  And definitely cheaper.  You can check it out sir dannielsimone, they're on display side by side at theaterworks.

You know I saw a side by side with the X10 and the Sanyo like yourself but the source was very poor and both pictures were grainy. :-\  Did not do justice to the TV's and I could not arrive to any conclusions.

Where did you see it sir?  When i was at theaterworks, they were playing the transformers blu-ray. Too bad coz I'm looking for a larger screen.  But for those looking for a 32" panel, i think its a good choice.

Well...since you ask I saw it at Theater works Trinoma. Wanted to meet Jeff and pick his brains as I was interested in a 32 and a 42.  Went with my wife and two sons. I am considering only the  Panasonic 42X10 for me and for my mom inlaw a 32c10 as her budget is 20K .  I tried pushing her towards the 32x10 but saw the Sanyo and as the source was very poor I walked away very undecided.  Hence this thread.  :-\

oh....forgot to mention that theater Works does not carry the 32c10 and They did not have the 42x10 on display :'(

The Panny Plasma's on display were the 42c10 (very good PQ) and the 42s10 full HD (Beautiful PQ)
If only I had 65K :(

Saw the Sanyo at S&R  and it was "on sale" for cash for about 24K but the PQ did not blow me away like the sammy's and LG's they had ( plus 10K ).

But for value for money I guess it was pretty good.

I bought a 32K30 last month (Anson's trinoma). So far it doesn't disappoint! :)

Excellent Vid Q for the movies (DVD, AVI, MP4 --haven't tried Bluray discs, though)...

Marvelous screen for playing games (console and PC) also...

Plugged everything, Wii on composite, DVD player on component, D-Sub for PC input....all worked above my expectation...

Built-in speakers, as expected, are not really that good...but the PC surround speakers are what I use anyways for games/movies...

It's unlikely that Panasonic has anything to do with Sanyo products at the moment.

Panasonic has not yet purchased any portion of Sanyo, and Sanyo is still not a subsidiary of Panasonic.  Moreover, Panasonic is more interested in Sanyo's green energy businesses, such as solar panels and batteries, than Sanyo's TVs.

The latest news this November 2009 is that Panasonic has made an offer to buy only half of Sanyo's shares.  However, Panasonic has announced that it still plans to make Sanyo its subsidiary by December 2009.

Up for this thread.  I'm buying a 32" today or tomorrow (in time for the Pac-Cot fight ;D ).  I'm leaning towards the Sanyo.  Best price as of today is 21k cash/21.7k card straight payment at Western Marketing.

Any better deals out there?

My wife & I saw this at Anson's a few weeks ago. We went in just to take a look at the Panasonic C10 but this unit caught my attention as well as the Toshiba Regza.

Now that I have the 3 brands to choose from, we decided to defer buying till early next year. See if the price drops & read more about these units.

Paging all Sanyo 32K30 owners, more feedback please.

Since your DVD player is run on analog (component), you probably haven't even seen the best DVD performance out of your Sanyo.  If your DVD player has HDMI, try that connection, you will be more amazed by how good your Sanyo is.  I always run a pure digital signal path to my LCD, and the PQ difference is huge.

Then the freed up component connection can be used for your Wii... it will improve its visuals a lot when on 720p, as I observed on my system (non-Sanyo, but this improvement applies to any LCD anyway).
