Looks promising nga for the same price of the MED500x... I was a bit hesitant on the popcorn A200 coz P10,500 buti dumating na ito. The 2x2TB capacity is a saver for me since I don't like the constant erasing I do with limited storage of the unit.

Dun sa mga bibili, feedback naman if it can bitstream HD Audio (DTS-MA, TrueHD) both using BD folder structure or even better if encapsulated in MKV.

Sir comet, medyo wala pa ako material ganyan. For info lang, yung package may kasama na syang HDMI cable, sabi kasi ng store staff wala nung hindi pa na open.

Sabi sa forums wala pang DTS-HD/MA and Dolby True HD bitstream as of now, awaiting firmware 2.4 when that will implemented along with the jukebox feature. As of now Downmix to stereo pa lang yung Dolby TrueHD support. It will play BDiso and bluray rip BD folder structure features but no menus yet.

I was just listening to Josh Groban's Broken Vow through BD Iso with TrueHD audiostream downmixed to Dolby Digital 5.1 last night...complete with Menus pa...hehehe...very good sound...hehehe

Seriously, Im hoping any of these new players will actually play well.

P 7700 daw yung sabi sa Tipidpc forums yung benta sa unnamed store in Vmall. May naka-pm akong isang dealer who can give Xtreamer Pro for P7500 provided we can get number to at least 10 members, but stock coming July pa. I think this timeframe is good so we can learn from early adopters of the Xtreamer Pro. Malay natin mas bumaba pa price next month

compared to the first xtreamer, boot time, menus are significantly faster as well as fast forward/jumping to a specific time within a movie. PQ i think is the same as the previous xtreamer but i noticed clearer audio.

default fw is 2.3.4. this is surprising as i've seen on the site that the latest fw for download is 2.3.3.

I am pretty sure PQ and audio quality is the almost the same, no major differences between the previous model. As experienced by our fellow pinoydvd members sa NMT shootout-testing before: kanya-kanyang preferences lang but no real clear stand-out. The good news here is the new GUI and 2x2TB capacity.

alvin, I read the Xtreamer forums it's better to use the official 2.3.3 because hindi official yang 2.3.4 but if wala naman problem I guess it's safe to keep it as it is. I am still waiting for the official 2.4 firmware where jukebox functions and HD audio bitstreaming is supported.

+1, i think i would also buy, if this is the packaged firmware already, most probably mga december. hehe.

my main reasons for buying it were the 3.5" bay, 2x2TB and the small form factor. i had to fit it in my cabinet as the older xtreamer was too tall. here's a size comparison between the two.
