I Agree...i can't watch the live coverage cause ako lang mag-isa Lakers...but when the Lakers took th lead in 4th tahimik na sila wahahaha....I'm happier the lakers win the championship this year than last year when they won against the Magic, gusto ko kasing manahimik ung mga trash talkers ng Celtics such as Garnett, Pierce, Wallace and even Nate Robinson... Way to go Lakers! lets have a three peat next year

That's true. Even those that don't even follow the NBA do it. Well, people were also doing the same thing during the Bulls dynasty. I think the Bulls still have the best game introduction program. Nothing beat their animated display of the Bull mascot running and the music.

Actually, reading this article shows that Phil Jax's ploy of wearing out the Boston veterans, particularly KG and Wallace paid off handsomely.  Napagod at kinapos ang Boston.  Perkins' absence was indeed a killer for Boston. KG and Wallace were forced to play extended minutes, both in offense and defense.  Isipin mo, sa edad nilang yun, e mangangalabaw ka pa.  Mahirap yun!  Lakers kept attacking and attacking, punishing the big men of Boston.  Kobe, despite a poor shooting night, kept driving to the hoop and fishing for those fouls.  Result?  Gulay gulay sila KG and Wallace.  Wallace suffered cramps.  KG suffered from severe exhaustion.  Palagay ko isang linggong nasa bahay yan at maglalagay ng bengay  But seriously, it's tough for those "old" guys. You don't play them extended minutes and Coach Doc Rivers knows that but he had no choice.  And Coach Phil, the great coach that he is, used this advantage against them.

Couldnt stand the excitement of the 4th Quarter...had to switch channels a few times then tune-back to ESPN to catch the score hahaha! Now time to get some Lakers championship gear!

The game was decided down the stretch through Fouls and Free Throws and it was so disgusting to watch. Boston actually converted more 2-pt and 3-pt FGs but the disparity really came at the FT line where LA had 20+ more foul shots than the Celtics, 21 in the 4th Qtr.  Tough luck indeed..

Better luck next time.  Bawi na lang tayo next year..

Congrats again to the Lakers, they played great the entire series..

The game was decided by defense at the end. Boston just choked. What really makes it such a bitter pill to swallow is that they lost to LA and that the LAkers beat them at their own game.

The Lakers became the first team in NBA history to win the NBA championship after having trailed going into the fourth quarter of Game Seven of the Finals. The Celtics led, 57-53, entering the fourth quarter of Thursday night's game.

The Lakers made only 32.53 percent of their field-goal attempts, knocking down only 27 of 83 shots, in defeating the Celtics. That was the second-lowest Game Seven shooting percentage in history for an NBA team that won the title; in 1955, the Syracuse Nationals made 26 of 80 field-goal attempts, or 32.50 percent.

Kobe Bryant, the Finals MVP, made only six of 24 field-goal attempts in Game Seven, for a mark of only 25 percent. That was the lowest field-goal percentage in the Finals by a player who took that many shots since Jerry West shot 6-for-27 vs. Boston in Game Four of the 1965 Finals, and it was the lowest ever by a player who took that many shots in a Game Seven.

Actual commercial break lenghts based on Solar TV and BTV:

3mins 22sec - average commercial break lenght
17mins 22sec - average half time break
1min 15sec - shortest break happened only once in game 7

I experienced this since I was recording the finals and was using my cellphone for timer  . Binura ko lang lahat ng na record ko kse talo Boston  .

Also I experienced a number of times when the game already started (after a break) but these channels are still running and finishing up their commercials (take turns sila)! So putol yung simula ng game minsan nga nagbago na yung score. Aaaargh!
