That would be great brader Weng - as you know, SVS speakers arent only for HT anyway ;)

In fact, I've been thinking of replacing my computer speakers sometime soon.

M series is audiophile grade so im sure this one will bring tough competitions to the perennial brands in the two channel stereo arena though having to experience listening to the SCS, i can proudly say it has the details and the clarity i have heard from a 180K pair floor stander set aside the bottom end off course.

the biggest strenght for me of the SVS speaks the HF side, very crisp sounding but not ear fatigueing so i doubt it if the norms of bright, warm, neutral would even have an effect

from my understanding, you say its bright pag makalansing, warm pag laidback, SVS speak would give you details and clarity walang unwanted HF na nakakairita sa pandinig.

Speaking of the smallest M-series speaker, the MBS-02 - it was compared to the B&W 805 which costs 4x!  ;)

Oo nga ano...I have extra MoPads not being used...I should place it on my rear SBS-01 speakers. It will not only work as a treatment, but will even increase the height of the speakers. :) Thanks for pointing that out sir Mike...I did not notice it in the pic, til I read your observation. ;D

every trip to graceland is always worthwhile, more than anything else, becasue I get the chance to share some good laughs and stories with fellow SVS lovers and  HT enthusiasts. earlier it was all fun and laughter with macdon, stickfigther, vtec3(good to see you again sir ;)) jojod818, yes the famous tube and ss amp builder now delving in HT and later in the day ryan750 a very young DIYer.

I had a couple of reasons for going to graceland, one is to check out on the STS 02 and the other to check out on another SVS product. Several genres of music were played by mike c with the SB12NSD activated alongside the STS 02. My impression on the SB12 will be posted on the SVS subwoofer thread.

Right off the bat, what strikes me is the HF side of the STS 02. This is probably the best I heard in quite a while in this department. In any type of music genres, this speaker impressed me a lot. Music sounds livelier and is very dynamic. I have heard several speakers with HF that kills my ears but this one is not, i usually put my ears closely to the tweeter everytime i listen to a speaker but this one I could probably afford to do this while listening to the whole song. On the bottom end, this may not trample the big guys out there but heck, thats the reason why you have the SVS sub. Saying the aforementioned though does not take away any luster on the bottom end of the STS 02. I still find them sufficient and enough to fulfill my needs in pure audio listening without the sub.

if theres anyone out there who takes into account physical appearance in considering a speaker, STS 02 stands out with some of the best, very minimalist design, very solidly built and the grill cover alone would make me salivate. It stands like a ramp model with its slender built. Whats nice, its sealed so for those that has placement challenge, you can place it very near the front wall without any issues usually present in rear ported speakers.

as much as i want to dwell on a more technical review and impressions, I just cant wiht my limited knowledge about these. To simplify my impressions, I LIKE IT

brader weng, dont second guess yourself, i know your SCS's are relatively new but the STS 02 is a worthy replacement, you may be losing a bit of your investment in the SCS when you sell them but what the heck, the loss is far outweighted by the gains you will have with the STS, its like taking one step backwards but three steps forward.

id say INDULGE. ;)

Very nice review and impressions brader Tirso ;)

All the 02 line shares the same Ferro-fluid cooled tweeter, but the STS has more oomph due to its 2 extra woofers ;D
I knew you'd love the STS-02!  :D

i do like it kagawad as it has almost the same character as my current speakers.

BUT even before going to graceland, it seems my mind i already set on something else and that one will soon find its way to my house.

what i have now will soon go somewhere near your area. ;) ;) ;)
