Looking forward to the review.   :D

I'm sure PQ and SQ will be great.  My thoughts are more towards:

  • Audio quality
  • Codec support
  • Networking
  • .iso support (regions?)
  • UI functionality
  • torrents and apps

I got one from a TIPIDPC seller at php 16,400.

Once I find time this coming weekend, I'll set it up. So far when I checked it, it's really kind of small form factor. Comes with 4GB and a very compact remote keyboard.

does it come with a storage? hdd? how big is the capacity?

congrats! Suggest yung bootup, i backup mo or image backup mo, unless may recovery disk/image ka na.Just so para may point of recovery ka.

Was thinking baka optimized yung linux for the playback, baka if another OS iba ang performance nya, just my 2 cents.

My initial impressions:  ;)

What i like:
1. Very small  ;D
2. keyboard with built-in touchpad and responsive media remote
3. better pq compared to NMT's
4. 24/7 downloader/internet (consumes max of 60W)

What i dont like:
1. price :(
2. limited internal harddisk (supports 2.5 only)
3. plastic casing
4. runs hot - better if the plastic casing will be replaced by a heat sink (similar to sidewinder)

sir,

may support  ba to boot off ESATA or USB by default? baka mas ok 2TB sa labas na enclosure, if heat is an issue. considering its an HTPC mura na yan sir sa 16k. ang similar thin client is about the same price, at least video nyan should be awesome :)

What's more awesome if the eSATA support port multiplier, yung mga dual docks mo dun mo lagay ang movies mo so 2TB x 2 disks agad, jackpot ka.merong docks kasi with support for port multiplier, yan ang pinaka-masaya, esp. sa transfers.

for other readers, I share -- why SATA port multiplier  is cool for an  Esata :

because in one eSATA connector you can have 1, 2 or 4 SATA disks powered up and sees them individually as drives. its the cheaper way to maintain a 3.5TB library without the fuzz of adding controller/cables done internal to a device/PC.
Sa NMT, di pede mag dagdag.
pero ESATA w/o port multiplier is still  ok, esp. if it has both internal/bare SATA as primary and you have an ESATA port. (at least you can transfer between disks at SATA speeds not USB 2.0 speeds, which is slooooooooooow!)

May nabibiling port multiplying hub pero its gonna cost you extra pa.
I'd wait for the review and GUI dumps, but from the looks of it, bibili ako 1 for my 24/7 DL.

I surmise that when it comes to torrent downloading the speed would be on par with a PC which is the limiting factor of NMTs.  ;)
