What Wire To Use?
« on: May 18, 2011 at 12:51 PM »
Mga sirs, just want to ask kung anong suitable wire ang pwede kong gamitin sa speakers ko, napansin ko kasi na parang ang nipis ng libreng wires na naka-include sa speakers ko. and would it increase the performance of the speaker if I choose for a better wire? TYIA

In my case,  generic wire are good enough , P25-P35 per meter its already 12 gauge.
I often read that, the thicker the wire the better....and since the price is relatively low, I am able to use
12 gauge wires already.

For me, I use magnet wire for my speaker and interconnect. For speaker, I use gauge 14 and for interconnect I use gauge 18 for signal and 2 wires gauge 22 for ground.

duda ko s sobrang mura nyan. 'di kaya yan yung may halong bakal? best to check with magnet before buying speaker wires.

Di ko po masasabi kung bakit ganun presyo nya, pro di naman sya undersize, at with all due respect Sir Tony pro masyadong malayo difference ng 12 sa 20 na wire.

I have to admit though that I haven't use yung ibang branded na wire  na mabibili natin sa mall at specialty
electronic stores, so di ko masasabi for sure na mag kaparehas yung #12 na nabili ko dun sa #12 ng mas mahal na wire.
