Really great adjustment by Black and the coaching staff both on offense and defense but specially on defense. FEU had an easy time penetrating during the first three quarters of the game but had to be content taking outside shots during the latter part of the fourth quarter. RR Garcia had a hard time receiving the ball and then could not find anyone to receive his passes.
After the half, the team was able to adjust defensively even if the offense was sputtering. Good thing Ryan Buenafe (i dub thee, tamaraw killer) was able to facilitate the plays and made the most damage in the crucial run and finally helping in overtaking FEU's lead. This combo will be the one I'll watch out for:
Slaughter – 17 points (including 2 dunks!), 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 5 monster blocks!
Erram – 6 points, 9 rebounds, 1 steal and 2 blocks
Ryan will get better as the season goes along and hopefully he loses 5-10lbs and his conditioning gets better. If he does, man... the other teams won't know what hit them.
