So, my earlier gut-feel post of NU cracking under pressure and DLSU winning (even before their last 2 matches against FEU) came true.
For the Finals ....... heart says UST, but mind says DLSU.
Both UST and DLSU are peaking, but I've always said that great guard play is
damn essential for every UAAP champ - in that regard, DLSU has the edge due to its army of guards that are playing their best right now.
Despite the recent surge, UST's backcourt is shaky (save for a surprising Sheriff)...... Jeric Teng is all-heart, but obviously still hurt ...... Tata Bautista will forever be limited and inconsistent.
One more important thing, everyone knows who the refs will "favor" in these Finals.
“That was the game-changer. That’s what I told the refs. It really did ...... It is really hard to play those schools. If you are not Ateneo or not La Salle, it’s really hard to win. You need to bring your A-game. That’s a given,” - Nash RacelaLet's enjoy these Finals ...... many great storylines this year - Teng Vs. Teng, 90's rivalry, Pido's old-school methods, etc.
IMO the safe bet in these Finals is DLSU ...... but it's one bet that I wont mind losing.
