I just toyed with it last weekend and  the latest neighborweb o is very stable for bigger files but the 2nd 3rd party downloaded tranmissions 2.xx needs some work pa. both come preloaded with the egreat R1-ii/R6AII /R180pro latest firmware.

Hello X6 users,

TIA

a. connect disk to a pC
b. run thumbgen (it reads each folder/file and fetches the .nfo from various sources, and gets cover.jpg, generates about.jpg per folder. I assume each movie is contained in a folder at this point.
c. once all done, you will see the thumbgen ok. when you press the button to the left of the number "0" in the keypad on the remote. then you select from list to Thumbnail

The only thing remaining to replace in Measy X6 is the BT client, (neighborweb isnt really stable but I hope it gets better).

I find transmissions torrent client as a better engine and far more stable, I come from Neighbor Web BT client. I hope that will soon be an option. :)

Oh my God.....R300 Egreat has no BT Torrent download support!!!!

Measy X6 and E8HDL has!!!

Please ask egreat and egreat "old daddy" Himedia to release new FW soon....hahaha...tell them you cannot sell any stock in Phil now...dangerous situation for business.....

Hi has anyone ever experience while watching on the X6 the loss of the video while audio still runs ?

Happened to me twice, I think it's a bug regarding the screen saver, I turned it off and currently observing if it will happen again.

Another bug I discovered is at times during bootup, it hungs after the High Definition display follwoed by loss of display, that the only remedy is to trun it off and unplug it otherwise, it would not boot up.

Regarding LAN connection, it cannot access the internet but can do so via wireless connection(whattawhata  :P :-[ :'( )

Furthermore, it has the same problem as the 1055chipsets....it cannot pass RAW aac via optical/coaxial digital out, but can do it via HDMI. :P

Hi,

what's your FW version? and your display setup (HDMI auto or HDMI 1080p)

also, AFAIK, screen saver has an image displayed not black,

2.05FW

HDMI set to auto

Try mo po sir change to max resolution of your TV instead of auto, some handshake kasi happens when you set HDMI set to auto. tama din po you off the screensaver muna to isolate.

maganda po yang 2.05 FW, maraming naresolve na yan.

I loaded mine:
#1 may added  feature sa v3.05 for UI --  may skin choice retro and modern technology, (for main menu level only File manager, VIdeo, Photo, Music, Setup).

#2 for BT download feature:
-- no BT download shortcut unlike the pix below (was following the BT download instruction posted below) to call the BT
-- neighborweb pa rin naka up sa http port service - service up, tried BT, doesnt work
-- i tried transmissions port http://ip:9091 - service down, no reply

wait mode muna, stay w/ v2.05

@ all X6 users:

if you can wait sa official firmware, better pero sa mga adventurous, game na to pang dl,
couple this with  dyndns support so  can access the transmissions from anywhere (at the office, you can monitor how your dl is happening). http://myexternalIP.dyndns.org:9091 lets you check on the service progress.

make sure you test the following:
1. DL size > 5gb
2. playback with DL happening, should not be impacted (stutter, pause noticeably) with transmissions running
3. resume DL on restart/reboot.
suggestion: meantime sa DL, to assist your players, kahit green disks pa yan, 3.5" drive bay limits circulation dahil manipis ang  x6(low profile). passive cooling is most helped by the thickness of the external aluminum chassis. manipis ang cover ni X6 but with its internal fan, good enough at room temperature at night, pero feel mo yung surface during mid morning while watching and you'll get the idea.

@garfield
naku di puede USB disk? since its it in beta, better request support for external USB disk, or let users choose  which will be assigned as the storage for the BT.  here's why - on internal disk (heat) -- babad( torrent 24/7)=heat.  if you are a tree hugger(green) or kuripot(you want your investment to last), ideally you'd want:  the internal disk powered down without removing(1185 can snooze the internal disk), and use USB 2.0 ports for download. never hurts to have the option for USB sa babadan.
