NBA 2012-2013 Season
« Reply #2190 on: Nov 09, 2012 at 09:45 PM »
its really hard watching the lakers right now. i would understand if they are losing to the top teams. princeton offense doesnt work on lakers.

the lakers have very good front court but most of the time the ball is on the outside. if im the coach i would make dh the primary option.

"The only thing we can do is keep grinding and not let go of the rope."

That's how Coach Spo answered when the 2011 Miami heat went on a 5 consecutive losses streak with DWade, LBJ & CB playing their best.

Fans were also clamoring that Riley fire the Heat coach. Now look where the Heat are after their growing pains.
"There is always, always, always something to be thankful for."

i think the difference between the heat back then and the lakers now was the heat was never in the bottom of the standings even when they were having that losing streak but i do know the lakers won't stay this way for the rest of the season.

Let us patiently watch the Lakers and criticize them after 25 games.
Should they fall 5 -20 then Coach Brown will probably be replaced.

LA fans strike me as a complicated bunch
I was able to catch a few games at staples over the years.they are the most indifferent guys I've seen, kahit pa nananalo team nila.madalas mas maingay pa visiting fans.

Pero pag natatalo, gusto patayin anak ni mike Brown :D

Not that I expect the Lakers to magically turn it around but the departure of Mike aka "Mr. Potatohead" Brown should be a great first step in improving the team. Addition by subtraction.

Now they have to focus on their effort on the defensive end, as what other members pointed out. The offense comes and goes but the effort on defense should always be there. Next is to find a real offense that fits with the loaded talent that the team has. Should be a process but one I'm more comfortable watching with Mike Brown out of the picture.

Let's go Lakers!!!

the fire mike brown movement has been a massive success! now that he's been fired, i need to find a new avatar. Damn. I blame all this on Mike Brown! hahaha

I knew Jim Buss and Kobe were lying through their teeth when they kept saying they supported Mike Brown. hahaha their body language said otherwise.

i knew it wouldnt take long, I was actually surprised he wasnt fired after an 0-8 preseason and an 0-2 start.  no matter how bad your team is, you can at least win a meaningless pre season game!

Pardon the ignorance but which team did Brian Shaw sign up with? After Coach Brown was announced as head coach?

The LAkers fans are more star-studded, Hollywood fans. You can't expect them to cheer like crazy and lose poise hehehe. I hate to say it, but, Clippers fans are better in terms of noise. But I think GSW fans are the best and rowdiest at Cali. Maybe the old Sactown fans come in second.

Told you. I knew this was coming and I knew it's gonna be soon.  Knowing the Lakers with their Laker pride in check lately with a 1-4 start, di papatalo ganun ganun ang Lakers.  So life goes on.

I like Jerry Sloan.  Jeff Van Gundy pwede din.  Or why not SVG and team him up again with Howard, the guy who booted SVG out of Orlando.  Now that's Hollywood.
