Yes, provided KD won't choke again.  He has been choking for the past 2 games.  He's a good player but I don't think he's up for the challenge.  Not yet.  C'mon, you're the 2nd best shooter in the league and a 91% Free Throw shooter and you miss all important FTs.  Twice!#$@.  In an all important playoff game that would have put OKC up 2-1.  If that's not choking, I don't know what is.

Kevin Martin not being a factor too on offense?

Pity that GSW had already used their amnesty provision ....... just imagine if they can shed a high-salaried deadweight like Biedrins or Jefferson this coming offseason.

They can sign-up a name player, make that one step closer to being an elite West team next season.

If the Warriors had the power to amnesty Biedrins(-$9M)  + Landry opts out (-$4M) + Jack doesn't re-sign, they will still have around $61M in salaries, therefore no cap space.

The Warriors may have to choose between retaining Landry or Jack next season. Teams like the Pistons or the Jazz could be throwing Jack some serious money in the offseason.

Now is the time for OKC to regret that dreaded trade that they made at the start of the season. They could have been quite OK had they held on to Harden this year and shed salary here and there to resign him after the season is done instead of letting him go for a couple of ineffective players. Heck the owe Perkins 25M for the next three years and the guy isn't even contributing anything. the much ballyhooed Third Core member in Ibaka who is owed 50M for the next 4 years is posting 9.7 points and 6 rebounds per game. had they played out the last year of Harden contract (which incidentally they are paying still through Martin, Jeremy Lamb etc) they could have been a lot more competitive even with the loss of Westbrook.

Perfect example of "pagtitipid na wala sa lugar".

IIRC the tax line is ~70M ..... assuming they can still waive the inept Biedrens (who was very promising prior to his current contract) and Landry tests the market and does opt out - it'll get them under the line and net them some space for a decent player ...... of course all of this is pointless, since they didn't choose Biedrens when they made their choice for amnesty.

I've always liked Jack ..... his mid-range game reminds me so much of Sam Cassell or Terrell Brandon from years ago. But there's a reason why he's had so many stops throughout his career.

He has this streakiness about him that a lot of established coaches are scared of ..... a noobish coach like Jackson might not see this yet.

If whoever calls the shots for GSW (West?) wants them to take the next steps to eliteness - they might consider bringing in someone more stable e.g. mull with the idea of converting a Redick to full-fledged PG ...... imagine the amount of outside shots they'd take with a Curry-Thompson-Redick backcourt.  ;D

IIRC the 60M represents the soft cap. 70M represents tax level or some sort of hard cap. Difference is at more than 70M, you lose your MLE and bi-annual exception.  You also lose the privelege of receiving players via sign and trade.

...... which is usually fine for those teams within the elite or near elite status - those with aggressive owners anyways.

It's obvious that GSW bosses are all-in with the Curry/Thompson duo - both having the look, skills and the pedigree of superstars in waiting.

Two offseasons from now, GSW will clean-house salary wise ..... surrounding this duo (along with Lee) with some name players may create the championship window which every level-headed GM craves for.

70M - luxury tax line
74M or 4M above the tax line - hard cap (only for teams using the non-taxpayer MLE)

Re: Reddick, there was a rumor that the Bucks wanted to extend him for 40M/5yrs, which may be a rough indicator of his current market value. I think GSW may be out of the running for his services.

I think that the key to making GSW into a truly elite team is the continued improvement of their young assets (Thompson, Barnes, Green, Ezeli) and not necessarily in landing big names in free agency (prev examples - Maggette/Hughes). I think they should also trade D. Lee somewhere along the way.

I'm okay with Lee either way ..... if ever he's traded away, it'll be sound, since he's a good player making superstar-money ..... if they keep him, it wont rock that young core they have.

GSW has some nice young pieces ...... needs a few solid vets within the next few years to truly contend though - Jack will probably get a nice fat contract form somewhere else, while Bogut's an injury away from possibly retiring (still cringe at his famous arm injury).

Jack thinks he is better than he actually is. And the rest of the league knows it. So I don't think he's going to  get stupendous offers.

As Curry and Thompson mature, his services won't be as needed. So in the event some team actually gives him a  a big offer, GSW probably won't match. But for a reasonable amount, GSW will want him to say.

The league is actually full of overpaid stars.  If I would guess, some team might throw around 7-8M annually forJack's services.

Ay, panalo na ba? 'Di ko alam, 'di ako updated  ;D

Kidding, for me, "It's not over until the fat lady sings!" . Pag nakalusot ang Heat sa Bulls, you guys still have 2 more remaining teams to root for naman against the Heat.

Go Heat!

The Bulls' roster was so depleted that Coach Thibs had to use a lineup earlier with average minutes of less than 10 minutes.

No players, no can do for the Bulls.  Nate, Noah and Boozer can score in some games but they can't be expected to score every night, much less in a 7 game series.  They're not built that way.

DPOY is voted by the media.  All Defensive teams by coaches.

Lebron is part of the 1st Defensive Team with CP3, Tony Allen, Serge Ibaka, Chandler & Noah.

Di ba parang mas deserving si Marc Gasol kesa Lebron?

Lebron should be there hands down. But I don't think Chandler should be there over Gasol they way he played this year. It's just like what happened last year. Chandler was DPOY pero 2nd team lang.
