@Waxx: I've used Shipping Cart several times, and IMHO, I don't think the size of the box they use for consolidation matters dun sa kanilang fee. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe they just use the size/weight of the individual packages to compute the charges, and not the size of the consolidated box. I often try to double-check the computation of the fees, and so far wala naman po akong nakitang inflated charges or discrepancies. Baka po may item kayo that required special handling, kaya po nagmahal yung fee?
i dont think so, they pretty much charge same as jac or msb... by actual weight or volumetric weight whichever is higher..... here is whats stated in their faq...
FEES
How do you compute for Shipping Fees?
Shipping fees are computed based on the following formulas:
AIR & SEA CARGO = Chargeable Weight (whichever is higher between Actual Weight or Volumetric Weight) x Rate + Fixed Fee
my first 2 items which they consolidated has a volumetric weight of 3lbs and 1 lb respectively... box 1 was computed at 2595.68. the second one is ar 1200 if im not mistaken.. consolidated, i got charged close to 3k for those items combined..
doing my consolidation, my box 2 items wouldve fit together in my box 1 items and weighted around 5lbs. box 1 contents were 1. a stethoscope 2. ear thermometer 3. reverse osmosis fittings 4. mini screwdriver. box 2 contained 6pcs glowbowl toiled lights.
im not sure if they considered those items "special handling case" and even if they did.. i shouldve been charged only 2600 maximum (inclusive of their handling fee of $10)
and i find their service a bit slow as well... all my items were delivered to their warehouse last june29. i just received my box yesterday.. thats almost 20 days..
anywyas, ive already emailed my complaint to them.. ill just wait for their side. chances are, i will just stop using their services and revert back to msb. its faster and their services are more transparent
