guys,

para din mabilis ang main event, suggest lets just use one amp during the shootout and play with the other amps later na lang...btw, ung MS 914s  ko na ba gagamitin or meron sa inyong gustong magdala ng iba ;)

agree ako dyan... to simplify things, let's just use the gears of Narayan and later play with the other amps pag tapos na shoot out...

hokey, its settled then... for the main event, we will use the MS 914s with the MF pre/power amps...the preamp can accept at least 3 sources so walang problem...the interconnects and speaker cables will be brought by the assigned persons :D

3 pairs silver IC.... and one more from preamp to power amp.... tapos speaker cable.

no need for another I/C for the amps... di ba may dedicated XLR(balanced) I/Cs na yun para sa 2 power amps...tagal na kase huling ginamit natin ;D

akyat,

korek ka dyan... dapat yung 3 interconnects hooked up to the pre-amp should be identical in brand, model and length. and the next problem crops up... who among you guys have the same ICs? what's the most common ICs ba na gamit nyo?

though the ICs to be used would play a very important factor in the output of our CDPs like for example, silver-based ICs are anathema to NAD coz they would make it sound harsh. NAD CDPs excel much with just copper based ICs like the Ixos, Tara Labs and some Ecosse models.

good insight there 'torney.... although this is a competitive shootout, the winning CDP will be the one that matches best with the gears & cables we'll be using.... so at the end of the day, it's all for fun.  ;D ;D ;D

one CDP owner will go home smiling, the rest should be smiling too coz they will all be runner-ups.

di bale, XLO Reference naman speaker cable natin kaya OK lang... the extravagant treble of a 24-bit CD player will be neutralized by this bass heavy thick cable.

Just remember, from IC to Amp to Speaker Cable, to Speakers dapat fix. Iisa lang.
