mga sirs, just would like to know kung alin sa 2 ang mas maganda ang audio and video quality.balak ko kasi bumili ng dvd player na ok rin sa music.tnx
I have both the oppo 980 and pioneer 600. The 980 wins hands down imo/observation. Just by pausing you can see the pic on the pio 600 dirtier, more jaggies. The 980 pic is crisp, more fine to me. Both players use the mediatek chip, but I think the chip in the oppo is specially "tuned up, specialized"
by the technicians/engineers of both oppo and mediatek. They work hand in hand together ata. I read this somewhere.
If you have lots of dvds, really into dvds, want the best pic available, above 40 inch hdtv, I'd say go for the 980, its worth the extra 5 thou to me.
On a side note, I really notice the pic on the pioneer 600 darker than the other players on factory settings. I already mentioned this in the pioneer 600 thread. I don't know why or its just me ata
, maybe Im doing something wrong here..but it really bothers me to keep adjusting the settings on the player itself, even if I calibrated na the tv..It was proof
on the shootout when I brought this player and pchin and streetsmart saw the settings for the contrast and brightness turned way up
..I think they were stunned
..I was so ashamed
by the setting..I had to explain to them haha.. Im an amateur at this kinda stuff so maybe im doing something wrong, don't know how to calibrate, diff taste in picture, so maybe you can ask other owners about it. But overall naman pic is "quite good" for the pioneer 600. Also lately Ive been having problems on my pioneers (recorder dvr650h and dv600) on reading p...d discs. When I tried it on my sony ns76, its fine naman. You might wanna check the sony ns700h ata, forgot the model, saw it in sony parksquare. Its black, looks sexy, slim, shiny, ang ganda. Pic quality of this player, can't comment coz I don't own one. Good luck
