mga katoto,

i just had my KEF cresta 3 woofers repaired by Benedict because of the "crumbling" sound......installed it and now its sounding better as before.....totally saludo ako sa iyo....

Guys i dont know if this is the right thread, i currently have a logitech z5500 thx system which is out or warranty na, and sira is yun control unit nung buong speakers actually, replaced the fuse but ganun padin wala na signal binibingay from coax, optical and direct.. hope someone can help.. thanks

i visited my friend last night at his humble home somewhere in Metro-Manila... he was so happy that SpeakerDoctor restored well his huge Infinity floorstanders (USA made)... he let me power it up... wow !!! at very minimal volume (7:30 to 8:00 knob position) i already appreciated LF octave with very good mids&highs and we only sourced FM tuner signal.. my friend said he was charged minimal for a wonderful job !!!

if you are giong to replace them, replace with higher voltage ratings, likewise check that 1ohm resistor, it could have become open...

JBL Singapore has given me the correct value/rating of the caps and schematics of the Xover network for the subs.....

last week, based on the info from JBL, i was able to buy the same specs of caps from sim lim tower,the equivalent of raon here......i DIY'ed it but medyo unsuccessful on my part coz when i turned on the amps it keeps on firing and making those big booming sounds continously.....i do not have the complete equipment like the tester.....i suspect there are other things that was damaged like the resistors.....i tested the woofers and lucky na rin coz they were not damaged......

there are emitter resistors that could have become open, one or two of the output transistors could have shorted thus breaking the emitter resistors like they were fuses.....you have to get to them in order to restore the sound...the fact that your driver remains undamaged gives me this impression...

please pm how much is the estimated cost of repair for an altec lansing atp3 (if doable), jack of the left satellite goin to the subwoofer, kailangan kong ipitan ng papel yung jack para tumunog.

I got my 20 year old B&W dm560 from Speakerdoctor today. I am amazed at what they did to it. They just restored it like brand new. Even the screen cover that was all torn out was already fully restored.

Highly recommended to those who will need to repair those "broken" speakers. They treat your equipments like their own.

To Doc Benedict & Doc Paul,

One of my CS-703 Pioneer Speakers tweeters cannot be heard.

I tried to open it, but whew... it was really screwed tight.
I opened the speaker terminals and found one of my capacitors blew-up.

I'm gotta see you this Saturday.

Rubber edge replacement for 5 inches woofer is Php 400.

i also have a problem on my dtx 4.12 sub. hindi ko kasi nakita thread na to kaya pina-rewind ko sa raon. pagka rewind napansin ko tumigas ang bass nya. volume ko nasa 25-30% lang higher than that pangit na tunog. pwede pa ba maayos to?

Tignan namin sir magagawa namin sa sub mo para irestore. Usually kasi pag gawang Raon, binabago totally ang voice coil, hinihiwa ang cone pati spider. Kaya pag ni restore namin sub mo, palit cone & spider aside from voice coil rewind. Sana nasa listahan namin specs ng voice coil ng DTX sub mo and sana makakita kami ng pwedeng ipalit sa cone.

Pakidala na lang po sa amin. AS sir iiinas said nasa 1st page po ng post ko dito ang rates, address pati link sa map.

Sorry kung hindi ko nasagot yang inquiry mo. Pero tinignan ko yung ATP3 ko for reference sa tanong mo. Do you mean the RCA jack on the left? If it is, then we can replace it with a new RCA jack (plastic or metal). Pero pag yung sinasak sakan ng jack wala tayong mabibili nyan. You can try sa Altec Lansing Distributor dito sa atin, malamang meron silang replacement parts.
