May i suggest na ibabad mo na sa WD40 yung screw baka lumuwag sa pagkakapit. Ang concern kasi namin is baka pati yung speaker frame masira sa pagtanggal sa box.

Hi Doc,

As mentioned in my previous post, I have an 18" JBL subwoofer that needs restoration. It currently has a 4ohm single voice coil (4 inch diameter).

I was wondering if this can be converted to a 4ohm dual voice coil and add extra terminals during the restoration, as to give me more wiring options?

Sir,

I think it's not possible. The space provided for the voice coil is for single voice coil (2 layers). Making it dual voice coil (4 layers) will not fit on the space provided.

Sir, sinubukan ko paandarin yung old pioneer speakers namin. Gumagana naman siya pero punit yung isang channel. Nung tinanggal ko yung cover dun sa harap, sinilip ko yung cone nung sabog na channel, yun pala yung nagccause ng "punit" na sound kasi maluwag na pala yung cone. Nung sinilip ko naka-tape lang. Magkano po ba para paayos yun? and bukas po ba kayo pag sundays?

SIR,MAY I HUMBLY ASK FOR UR HELP. I HAVE 2 PCS KEF BOOKSHELF TYPE SPEAKERS. PROBLEMS LISTED ARE :

1. 1PC ACCIDENTALLY FELL DOWN WHEN I WAS MOUNTING IT ON THE WALL, THE CENTER (TWEETER) GOT DAMAGED. NABUTAS PO. CAN U BE ABLE TO FIX IT?

2. BOTH UNITS TWEETERS ARE NOT WORKING ANYMORE.

3. COVER OF ONE SPEAKER GOT DAMAGED WHEN IT FELL, CAN U BE ABLE TO DO SOMETHING ABT IT OR KNOW SOMEONE WHO CAN FIX IT?

KINDLY PM ME SIR FOR THE TOTAL AMOUNT FOR BOTH SPEAKERS TO BE FIXED. I HAVENT USING THEM FOR SEVERAL MONTHS NOW AND WAS THINKING OF USING THEM AGAIN.

Sir,

Mukhang mahirap remedyuhan yang nangyari sa tweeter mo. As far I know wala kaming mabibiling replacement na kasukat at kasya dyan. If we'll do some metal surgery on the tweeter there will be some marks. If ok lang sa yo pag ganun then we can give it a try but if not you can order the driver from the manufacturer or country distributor.

thanks for the reply sir. but wat abt for prob 2, can u be able to fix it?both tweeters are not working. i'll check if its advisable to order for the speaker.

I think something got disconnected during the fall. If the voice coil has the problem then we ca fix it.

Sir pull out ko na lang yung Sub ko mahirap po maghanap ng mosfet na parts magkano pa ba babayaran ko since hindi naman po naayuz?

nawala yung cellphone ko kaya di ko malaman na yung contact number nio pwede mo i pm ulit yung cell number mo? nag message naman po ako sa inyo dito, pero kahit po online kayo di po kayo nag reply back

Can I bring the whole subwoofer para ma-replace yung foam surrounds ng 12-inch driver? I do not have the technical know-how para matanggal ko sa enclosure yung driver eh. Also, kelan pwede?

Ok na yung inifinity. About sa Sansui we have to test the mid and the tweeter kung ok para pag kuha mo gagamitin mo na lang.
