Finally got my subwoofer last Saturday na pina-repair ko due to distortion at high volume... and I have only one thing to say to Paul and Benedict... you're the men!

Galeng nyo, you were able to restore the sound quality of my sub

Pagkauwi ko nga torture test na kaagad, patugtog ako ng na bass-driven music and Karaoke session maghapon... oks na oks ang sound output buong-buo!

I was watching layer cake last night when in one scene, I heard some crackling sound from my B&W DS6 surrounds........sa tingin ko me problem na ito.......narinig ko na to once, ngayon lang uli nangyari......I think I have consulted you na rin. Pag nagawi ako Manila, ill bring it there for check up.....mu number is 09189001433.

pakidaan na lang po sa amin pag nagawi ka sa Manila. Test namin at kung dapat i repair (edge or voice coil) ay gagawin namin. Sir may crackling sound din ba sa ibang movie na pinanood mo? Try mo muna sa ibang movie, pag meron pa din eh may problema na speaker mo na kailangan maayos.

Sir Benedict do you repair yung mission speakers 783 series? yung cone parang hindi nag vibrate but with weak sounds coming out, though the tweeter is working fine.....what do you suggest? thanks in advance and have a good day

Gud AM sir mattmatt. we repair all kinds of speaker (except ribbon type). Bring to out place para makita kung ano talaga ang sira. One possibility is sunog ang voice coil, second it may also be na nawala sa alignment ang voice coil ng woofer, but it's just me, the best is matignan talaga. If ever na sunog ang voice coil, we'll rewind it using the original specs, pag hindi naman kailangan i-rewind yung coil we'll re-center/re-align it. Sa Sunday (June 10) mo na lang dalhin, out of town po ako sa June 11.

Mga Sir, paano ba i-convert yung 4ohms na surround speaker into 8ohms? Ano po ba effect kung ang amps ay 8ohms then connect to 4ohms speakers?

Pagco-convert mo 4 ohms to 8 ohms you have to change the gauge of the wire of the voice coil. With regards to connecting a 4 ohms speakers to an amp whose rating is 8 ohms, malamang ma-overdrive ang amp.

Verify the handling capabilty of your amp before connecting 4ohms speakers, becoz in reality most speakers go down below their rated impedance that will send your amp to service.

Sir saan ko makikita yung handling capability with regards connecting a pair of 4ohms impedance speakers. Kasi wala naman mention sa manual and specification. I'm using HK AVR5500 so far wala pa naman problem almost 4 years ko na gamit speakers na 4ohms.

Definitley kailangan ipa-rewind ang voice coil. What do you men by impedance matching device? Kung gusto mong malaman ohm rating ng speaker pwede kang gumamit ng electronic tester.

Hi sir! I have a pair of Polk Audio SDA-2A and the interconnect cable is missing from all these years in storage. I also noticed that 1 speaker's tone is different from the other. Perhaps that is due to the missing interconnect cable. Would you know how to re-manufacture one? Thanks.
